    摘要: Disclosed is an electrolyte membrane which enables a fuel cell to have a high maximum output when used therein since it has high proton conductivity and high hydrogen gas impermeability. Also disclosed are a method for producing such an electrolyte membrane, and a solid polymer fuel cell using such an electrolyte membrane. A method for producing an electrolyte membrane including a step for impregnating a porous base with a solution containing a sulfonic acid group-containing vinyl monomer and then polymerizing the monomer is characterized in that 80% by mole or more of vinyl sulfonic acid having purity of 90% or more, and/or a salt thereof is contained as the sulfonic acid group-containing vinyl monomer, and the concentration of the vinyl sulfonic acid and/or a salt thereof in the solution is set at 35% by weight or more.

    摘要: The process for producing a proton conductive polymer electrolyte membrane of the present invention includes the steps of: irradiating resin fine particles with radiation; graft-polymerizing a vinyl monomer having a sulfonic acid group precursor and a vinyl monomer having a carbonyl group equivalent with the resin fine particles in a solid-liquid two-phase system to obtain a finely particulate graft polymer; preparing a casting solution of a polymer having a phosphoric acid group or a phosphonic acid group and the graft polymer, and forming a cast membrane from this solution; drying the cast membrane to obtain a film; converting the sulfonic acid group precursor into a sulfonic acid group; and forming a crosslinked structure between the carbonyl group equivalents. In the solid-liquid two-phase system, a liquid phase includes the vinyl monomers and a solvent for the monomers, and a solid phase includes the resin fine particles. By this process, a proton conductive polymer electrolyte membrane having high oxidation resistance, and a process capable of producing this membrane industrially are provided.

    摘要: The present invention provides a carbon dioxide separation membrane having a grafted chain into which a substituent having high selective affinity for carbon dioxide is introduced and thus having high carbon dioxide separation capability. The present invention is a method for producing a carbon dioxide separation membrane. This method includes the steps of: (1) irradiating a polymer film with radiation; (2) forming, in the irradiated polymer film, a grafted chain containing a repeating unit of a monomer having a substituent capable of forming a salt with a fluoride ion; and (3) subjecting the substituent capable of forming a salt with a fluoride ion to treatment with a fluoride salt so as to form a salt with a fluoride ion in the substituent.
