摘要： A polyetheric copolymer, a polyetheric block copolymer, and compositions of these copolymers containing:a benzonitrile recurring unit as represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## and a benzophenone recurring unit as represented by the following general formula (II): ##STR2## which copolymer has a molar ratio of the recurring unit (I) to a sum of the recurring units (I) and (II), i.e., (I)/[(I)+(II)], in the range from 0.15:1 to 0.40:1, as well as a melt viscosity (zero shear viscosity) at 400.degree. C. in the range from 500 to 100,000 poise.The polyetheric copolymer is crystalline and is a macromolecular compound having excellent heat resistance and mechanical strength.Disclosed herein are methods for the preparation of the polyetheric copolymer, the polyetheric block copolymer and the compositions containing the same.The polyetheric copolymers, the polyetheric block copolymers and their compositions are useful in various fields.

摘要： A polyether copolymer comprising the repeating units represented by the following general formula (I) ##STR1## and the repeating units represented by the following formula (II) ##STR2## the molar ratio of (I)/{(I)+(II)} being from 0.1 to 0.8 and the polyether copolymer having a melt viscosity of at least 500 poise as measured at 400.degree. C. is produced by allowing a dihalogenobenzonitrile, 1,4-bis(4'-halobenzoyl)benzene, and 4,4'-biphenol to react with each other in an aprotic polar solvent in the presence of an alkali metal compound. The polyether copolymer exhibits excellent heat-resistance, solvent resistance, and mechanical strength, and is suitable as a material for resin compositions, heat-resistant laminates, fiber, and film.

摘要： In a communication-type navigation system for downloading map data according to the present invention, a reduction in the amount of map information to be transferred, correction of a position measured by a GPS, and delivery of advertisements are effected. In this system, a terminal 5 stores rough map data in advance. Then, when detailed map data is required, it is downloaded from a map data delivery center to the terminal 5. Further, together with the map data, GPS correction information is delivered to the terminal 5 from the map data delivery center 80. Still further, coupon information associated with an advertisement is displayed and an electronic mail on the coupon information is issued, by the map data delivery center.

摘要： In order to reduce degradation of the processing performance of the data processor due to use of a part of the main memory as a display frame buffer, when an access request to the memory 200 is generated from the CPU 310, the memory controller 400 holds it once, requests the display controller 560 to stop the access to the memory 200 which is in execution, when data to the access executed already is transferred from the memory 200, holds it, and transfers the access request from the CPU bus 310 which is held by the memory 200. When the access from the CPU bus 310 ends, the memory controller 400 restarts the access stopped in the display controller 560 and passes the held data to the display controller 560.
