摘要: The present invention provides a method for providing an optimal wireless communication method according to a change in a wireless communication environment. When the reception status is degraded while an HD stream signal, which uses a first wireless method, is transmitted and received, the method scans channels for which radar wave monitoring is not required and switches the transmission/reception to a second wireless method using free channel A. The method further scans channels for which radar wave monitoring is required and, if free channel B has a bandwidth wider than that of channel A is found, monitors channel B and if channel B is not used by a radar wave, switches the channel from channel A to channel B.

摘要: A color image forming apparatus includes a carrier belt which runs along a transport path of a recording medium to transport the recording medium. A number of image-forming sections are aligned in the transport path. Each of the plurality of image-forming sections forms a toner image of a corresponding color included in an image signal. A plurality of transfer units are provided, with each being disposed to oppose a corresponding one of the number of image-forming sections. Each of the number of transfer units transferring the toner image of the corresponding color to the recording medium. A fixing unit is provided that fixes the toner image to the recording medium. A controller is provided that detects a number of colors in the image signal. The controller sets one set of speeds from a plurality of different sets of speeds in accordance with the number of colors. Each set of speeds includes a speed of the carrier belt, a speed at which each of the image-forming sections forms a respective toner image of a corresponding color, and a speed of the fixing unit. The speed of the carrier belt, the speed at which each of the image-forming sections forms a respective toner image of a corresponding color, and the speed of the fixing unit of any one respective set of speeds are substantially equal to each other.

摘要: An optical recording medium comprises a substrate, a recording layer overlying the substrate in a manner such that it is not present at the inner and outer peripheral portions of the substrate, a metal reflective layer overlying the recording layer in a manner such that the inner periphery of the metal reflective layer is coterminous with that of the recording layer while the outer peripheral portion of the reflective layer extends over the outer perphery of the recording layer, and a protective layer wholly covering the metal reflective layer extending over the recording layer, both at the inner and outer peripheral portions. The optical recording medium exhibits an excellent adhesion strength of the protective layer even when stood under high humidity and high temperature conditions for a long period of time, and the protective layer is not peeled off when subjected to a tape peeling test.

摘要: Receiver apparatus comprises: first and second receiving systems; a demodulation/diversity combining means for combining demodulated signals of first and second receiving systems; a selection means for selecting and outputting an output of either one of first and second receiving systems; and a control means for controlling the operations of the whole receiver apparatus. Control means causes to execute a first composite operation, either one of the receiving systems is caused to continue reception operation while the other receiving system is caused to perform channel search to search a channel satisfying a predetermined condition, further the selection means is caused to select output of the resulting receiving system for performing continuous reception operation. If no channel to be received is found, the control means controls to interchange the receiving system for performing continuous reception operation and the receiving system for performing channel search, and to perform a second composite operation.

摘要: A method of ultrasonic flaw detection of a pipe, worth particularly for instance for a heater pipe as is used for catalytic gas reforming with steam. A transmitter probe and a receiver probe are disposed on the pipe outer surface with suitable spacing one from the other both in axial or longitudinal direction and in peripheral direction of the pipe. The transmitter probe launches ultrasonic radiation under proper angle of incidence upon the pipe outer surface at the point of entering material of the pipe, to be refracted under a particular angle of refraction so that it may then pass through the material of the pipe straight to another point upon the pipe outer surface. The receiver probe receives the ultrasonic radiation transmission echo. Flaw in the material of the pipe is detected from fluctuation of the echo, as seen upon scanning the pipe surface by moving the transmitter and receiver probes.

摘要: A hermetic cap member of a casing for a semiconductor memory element is provided with a protection layer on a recessed surface facing the memory element. The protection layer is of at least one material which does not emit alpha particles and has a thickness sufficient to prevent alpha particles from being emitted from the cap member onto the memory element. Specifically, the protection layer may be a plate of a pertinent one of the following silicon of high purity, 42 alloy, or Kovar and is attached to the cap member by the use of an adhesive of glass frit. Alternatively, the protection layer may be made from a metallic paste of silver, silver-palladium, or gold-palladium by firing the same onto the cap member. The protection layer may also be magnesium oxide formed by the use of a plasma spray process. As a further alternative, the protection layer may consist of a plurality of materials.
