    摘要: An inner periphery of a housing 1 supports a rotary shaft rotatably via a pair of bearings 3, and a valve body 5 which is secured to the rotary shaft 4 changes at least one opening area of an intake port 19 and an outlet port 14 formed in the inner periphery. A biasing member 25 biases the bearings in a one-way direction. Therefore, the valve body 5 is moved or biased by the biasing member to the inner periphery of the collar 2 via the bearings, thereby decreasing leakage in the valve when closing. Therefore, even if difference of the thermal expansion coefficient between the housing 1 and the valve body 5 is significant, the leakage can be decreased, thus increasing variety of the material choice. In addition, even if the difference of the thermal expansion coefficient between the housing 1 and the ball bearings is significant, the bearings may not become loose due to expansion of the collar 2, therefore the housing may be selected from various kinds of material including resinous material.

    摘要: An air amount control valve is connected to a sidewall of a throttle body in which a main air passage for supplying intake air into an internal combustion engine is formed. The air amount control valve has a bypass air passage bypassing the main passage and controls an amount of air flowing through the bypass air passage, thereby controlling an idling speed of the engine. The air amount control valve includes an aluminum alloy housing having a valve hole and a rotatable valve body having a valve surface facing a fringe wall of the valve hole. To prevent deposits from adhering to the fringe wall facing the valve surface, an anodic oxide film is formed to cover the fringe wall and further a fluororesin film is formed on the anodic oxide film.

    摘要: An altitude compensating apparatus for use with an engine includes a bellows in which the air or gas is confined at a predetermined suitable pressure. The bellows expands as the atmospheric pressure lowers on the high lands. A first valve operatively connected to the bellows opens air outlet to introduce the air into air bleeds of a carburetor with the expansion of the bellows thereby to reduce the fuel mixed with the air in the carburetor. A second valve connected to the bellows operates to introduce the negative pressure into a vacuum advancer of a distributor with the expansion of the bellows thereby to advance the ignition timing of the engine.

    摘要: Provided is a control device for an AC rotating machine, for controlling the AC rotating machine including a plurality of sets of windings. The control device includes: a plurality of inverters each including, in respective phases, switching elements for controlling voltages to be applied to respective phases of the windings; current control portion for issuing voltage commands corresponding to the voltages to the respective inverters to control currents flowing through the windings; and failure detection portion for detecting at least one of a short-circuit failure or an open-circuit failure in each of the switching elements. The current control portion sets, in accordance with the failure detected by the failure detection portion, the same potential side of the respective phases of a faulty-side inverter in the same state as in the detected failure, and continues control on a normal-side inverter except for the faulty-side inverter.
