摘要: A multistage fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine has an injection nozzle capable of injecting main and auxiliary fuels into a cylinder of the engine at controlled intervals, thereby completely combusting an unburned fuel-and-air mixture in the cylinder. The injection nozzle includes a main injection passage for the main fuel, a needle valve for opening and closing the main injection passage, an auxiliary injection passage for the auxiliary fuel communicating with the main injection passage through the needle valve at a discharge end of the latter, and a check valve for preventing a reverse flow of the main fuel from the main injection passage to the auxiliary injection passage.

摘要: A control system for a drive unit of a vehicle, in which a power distribution mechanism is arranged on a route from a prime mover to a wheel, and a transmission is arranged on an output side of the power distribution mechanism. The control system includes a revolution frequency controller that restrains a variation in a revolution frequency of the prime mover by controlling a revolution frequency of the reaction force establishing device until a predetermined time elapses since a commencement of a shifting operation of the transmission. The control system is capable of restraining a variation in an output torque, in case of carrying out a shifting operation of a transmission arranged on an output side of a prime mover.

摘要: A planetary gearset provided with a sun gear, a ring gear, and a carrier that rotatably retains a plurality of pinion gears arranged between the sun gear and the ring gear as elements, in which one of the elements is made a fixed element and one of the other elements is made a rotating element, and which transmits torque between that rotating element and an external member provided in a location eccentric with respect to that rotating member. The planetary gearset is constructed such that the fixed element is movably retained in the direction of a load from the transmission of torque between the rotating element and the external member, and the load from the transmission of torque between the rotating element and the external member is received by a fixed portion that rotatably retains that rotating element.

摘要: A fuel injector of a Diesel engine is supplied with a boosted supply of fuel from a booster and operated to start and terminate a fuel injection by a hydraulically controlled nozzle needle actuator. A valving unit is controlled to selectively communicate compressed operating fluid to the booster so that the boosted supply of fuel reaches the fuel injector. The valving unit comprises a pair of poppet type valves each of which is operated by a solenoid operated pilot valve, thereby attaining high speed operation due to a high frequency of switching actions and accommodating a large flow rate of fluid. A manually or automatically adjustable stop is associated with each of the poppet type valves to control the flow rate of fluid through the valve to the booster, which dictates the pressure of fuel injection from the injector.

The control unit is configured to rotate the engaged portion in an idling direction of the one-way clutch, at a time of performing engagement or release of the engaging portion with or from the engaged portion.
