    摘要: A method of manufacturing a modified wood material, wherein a raw wood material is processed in a first bath of a first solution containing metallic ions high in the affinity and showing insoluble and non-flammable properties within the wood material, and then in a second bath of a second solution containing negative ions which produces an insoluble, non-flammable inorganic composition upon reaction with the metallic ions, whereby the obtained modified wood material is made to have the insoluble, non-flammable inorganic composition produced and fixed therein to allow the material to hold a good flame retardancy and excellent rotproof and mothproof properties.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display device includes a plurality of pixel circuits, data lines, and a data-line driving circuit connected to the data lines. Each of the pixel circuits includes a pixel capacitance having one end provided with a common potential. In accordance with a grayscale value for one of the plurality of pixel circuits, the data-line driving circuit selectively outputs a positive-polarity signal and a negative-polarity signal to the one pixel circuit. The data-line driving circuit outputs the positive-polarity signal and the negative-polarity signal so that an average of a potential of the positive-polarity signal and a potential of the negative-polarity signal corresponding to the grayscale value changes in accordance with the grayscale value, a temperature, and a position of the one pixel circuit.

    摘要: A sinter of stable quality is produced by molding a powder for powder metallurgy. This process includes successively conducting the following steps: charging a powder and a solid lubricant into a mold compact formation in which the powder charged into the mold is compacted; releasing the compact from the mold; and the powder for powder metallurgy is charged again into the mold after the release step. The temperature of the mold is set at a value in the range of from the boiling point of water to the melting point of the solid lubricant. The compact can be continuously formed without causing, e.g., a failure in the feeding of the powder for powder metallurgy. The sinter obtained by sintering the compact is almost even in strength and density.

    摘要: A method for forming a compact from a powder wherein a forming portion 1A in a mold body 2 is filled with a raw powder and upper and lower punches 3,4 are fitted into the forming portion 1A to form the compact. Prior to filling the forming portion 1A with the raw powder M, a solution L with a lubricant being uniformly dissolved in a solvent is applied to a peripheral portion of the forming portion 1A, and then the solution is evaporated, thus forming a crystallized layer B thereon. Thus, the reduction of a force for ejecting the compact is realized, while improving the density of the compact, realizing the stable and successive production of the compact.
