摘要: Containers for automatic injectors and automatic injectors adapted for those containers are disclosed. The containers include structures adapted to retain and, optionally, cripple the needle of the automatic injector when the automatic injector is inserted into the container after use. Depending on the embodiment, an indicator may be included, either as part of the container or as part of the automatic injector, to indicate whether or not the automatic injector has been used. If the indicator is provided as a part of the automatic injector, a corresponding portion of the container may be formed of a light permeable material. The container may also include features, such as an eyelet over the closed end, designed to cushion the automatic injector. Cushioning and shock absorbing features may also be provided inside the container. A clip is also disclosed. The clip is designed to attach two or more containers together.

摘要: The invention relates to a dermal flowable-composition dispenser that includes a body for retaining a supply of the composition, an application portion having an application surface, and a conduit connecting the supply chamber with the application surface for facilitating the reproducible delivery of a predetermined dose of the composition to the application surface. The application surface includes a concave application surface and a front side having an upper rim enclosing the application surface and forming a depression that has a volume that is greater than or equal to the volume of the predetermine dose. Also, the application surface is configured and dimensioned such it can receive the patient's skin to allow for removal of the predetermined dose of the composition, and wherein the concave application surface is shaped such that the entire application surface contacts the patient's skin when the application surface is pressed thereagainst.

摘要: The invention provides a drive mechanism for an autoinjector, configured to be coupled to a drug containing portion to form a complete autoinjector, the drive mechanism comprising: a housing (20); a drive means coupled to the housing, the drive means comprising a resilient member (22); a retaining means coupled to the housing, the retaining means (60) engaging the drive means in a first position to retain the resilient member in a deformed condition, and releasing the drive means in a second position; and a coupling means (24) for coupling with a drug containing portion (10). The drug containing portion retains the drive means in a second deformed condition when the retaining means is in the second position, the drive means storing enough energy in the second deformed condition to drive needle insertion and/or drug delivery.

摘要: A method for synthesizing a thin film of CZTS such as for use as an absorber in a photovoltaic device. The method includes providing a substrate in a chamber, and, then, depositing a film of CZTS material on the substrate, the CZTS material comprising copper, zinc, tin, and at least on chalcogen species. The depositing includes tuning an optical bandgap of the film with heterovalent alloying. The depositing is performed at low temperatures with the substrate provided in the chamber free of direct/active heating. For example, the substrate may be maintained at a temperature below about 150° C. during the depositing of the film. The heterovalent alloying involves controlling deposition rates for the copper and the zinc to define a copper to zinc ratio set the optical bandgap such as a value between about 1.0 eV and about 2.75 eV.
