A method of providing an update to a user mobile communication device, wherein the update comprises at least one new credential for a user mobile communication device following a change of a domain name related to a service, the method comprising changing the domain name, changing a state of an at least one old credential for the user mobile communication device used at the service to transient, granting access to the service to the user mobile communication device in response to a request for access using the at least one transient credential, determining if the user mobile communication device is in an acceptable environment to update to the at least one new credential and, when the user mobile communication device is in an acceptable environment, updating the user mobile communication device to the at least one new credential.
Abstract:
A mobile phone that coordinates power management across multiple communication devices. The mobile phone comprises a processor, a memory, long-range and short-range radio transceivers, and an application. When executed by the processor, the application receives device power reserve and device application usage information via the short-range radio transceiver from a portable communication device, and transmits the device power reserve and device application usage information, a phone power reserve and a phone application usage information via the long-range radio transceiver to a server computer. The application further receives power management instructions via the long-range radio transceiver from the server, creates a device power management command based on the power management instructions, transmits the device power management command via the short-range radio transceiver to the portable communication device, and configures the mobile phone to manage a battery power reserve of the mobile phone based on the power management instructions.

A method of configuring operating parameters with a vehicle is disclosed. The method comprises receiving a signal identifying one or more vehicle operating parameters and associating the signal with a mobile device. The method comprises identifying a profile package based on the identification of the one or more vehicle operating parameters, wherein the profile package comprises at least the one or more vehicle operating parameters. The method comprises receiving a signal associating the mobile device with a head unit and transmitting the profile package to one or more controllers, wherein the profile package configures one or more controllers to one or more vehicle operating parameters, wherein the controllers govern the behavior of one or more vehicle components. The method further comprises activating the specific set of one or more vehicle operating parameters of the profile package in response to detecting that the mobile device is disposed at a predetermined position.

A mobile communication device comprises a radio, a processor, a memory, and an application stored in the memory. When executed by the processor, the application analyzes an error code received via the radio and searches an error code to executable mapping table based on the error code. When the error code is associated with an entry in the error code to error handler executable mapping table, the application invokes an error handler executable identified by the entry.

A user equipment includes a radio transceiver, a processor coupled to the processor, and a storage device containing executable instructions. When executed by the processor, the instructions cause the processor to examine files in the storage device for a signature indicative of a branding element and, upon detection of the signature in a file, perform a branding action on the file with the detected signature. The instructions also cause the processor to determine whether an application loaded on the storage device is operating consistent with permissions set for the application and with a usage profile for the application and to generate an alert when the operation of the application is inconsistent with the usage profile despite being consistent with the permissions.

A minimization drive test (MDT) selection server computer. The server comprises a processor, a non-transitory memory; and an MDT selection application stored in the non-transitory memory. When executed by the processor the MDT selection application receives a mobile communication device selection criteria, where the criteria identifies a device candidate profile, determines a degree of match of a plurality of MDT candidate mobile communication devices to the device candidate profile, selects a population of mobile communication devices to perform the MDT based at least in part on the degree of match of the mobile communication devices to the device candidate profile, and causes the selected population of mobile communication devices to perform the MDT.

A method of resolving commercial content on a mobile communication device comprises determining whether to delegate interaction with an intelligent content distributor to the mobile communication device, wherein the interaction is related to resolving commercial content, wherein resolving commercial content comprises processing redirections of the commercial content, and wherein the commercial content comprises at least one of text, images, video, and other data intended to market a good or service; delaying resolving commercial content until the commercial content is to be displayed on the mobile communication device; caching commercial content on the mobile communication device; resolving, upon a request for the commercial content, a cached version of the commercial content; and prioritizing distribution of the commercial content based on characteristics of at least one of a requesting application and a user.
