    摘要: A supporting mechanism for a transmission shaft in an automatic transmission apparatus for use in a vehicle, wherein said shaft is rotatably supported at both end portions (1A), (1C) and at the intermediate portion (1B), and the amount of play of said shaft at said intermediate portion is set greater than those at the end portions, with a view to preventing oscillation of the shaft at the intermediate portion between the supporting points and favorably overcoming difficulty in assembly work, e.g., centering associated with supporting at three points. A supporting mechanism for supporting a transmission shaft in an automatic transmission apparatus for use in a vehicle, comprising an input-side transmission shaft (14) and an output shaft (1) arranged coaxially in series with said input-side transmission shaft (14), wherein said output shaft (1) is rotatably supported through the rear end of said input-side transmission shaft (14) by a transmission case at its input-side end and is rotatably supported by the transmission case at its output-side end, with a view to favorably preventing oscillation at the input-side end of the output shaft and shortening the axial length of the entire transmission shaft.

    摘要: To improve the efficiency of a menu selecting operation, not only a menu of a predetermined hierarchy, but also at least one menu of a lower hierarchy corresponding to the predetermined hierarchy are displayed. If the lower hierarchy (first genre) menu is selected, the nationwide and individual state or region menus of the first genre are instantly displayed. If, on the other hand, the menu of predetermined hierarchy is selected from the main menu, individual genre menus of the same hierarchy as that of the lower hierarchy menu are displayed to enable selection of a different genre menu. Provision is also made for destination selection by input of a telephone number. A match of the input telephone number with prestored data calls up display of a map of the vicinity of the address corresponding to the input telephone number, which map display can be utilized to set a destination. On the other hand failure to match the input telephone number with prestored data results in a display of landmarks located within the larger area assigned to the local exchange portion of the input telephone number. One of the display listed landmarks may then be selected to call up a map of the vicinity of the selected landmark.
