摘要: The present disclosure relates to user equipment (20) mobility between a first radio access network (11) arranged to operate according to a first radio access technology and a second radio access network (12) arranged to operate according to a second radio access technology. A user equipment (20) connected to the first radio access network (11) retrieves information associated with an anonymized temporary identifier assigned to the user equipment (20) by a radio access node (30) in the first radio access network (11), stores the information in the user equipment (20) and presents the temporary identifier to a radio access point (40) of the second radio access network, when seeking to connect.

摘要: There is provided a method, performed by a network node associated with at least two wireless communication devices, for scheduling packet transmission over a radio-based medium. The method comprises sensing (S1) the radio-based medium by estimating a received signal level, and evaluating (S2), for each of the at least two wireless communication devices, whether the radio-based medium is accessible or free for transmission based on comparing the received signal level to a respective threshold associated with the considered wireless communication device. The method further comprises scheduling (S3) packet transmission over the radio-based medium based on the evaluating, for each of the at least two wireless communication devices, whether the radio-based medium is accessible or free for transmission.

摘要: A network node, such as a Wi-Fi Access Point/Authenticator, is able to obtain a permanent device identity of a wireless device requesting authentication, in case the wireless device has only provided an alias. This is achieved by the network node intercepting an authentication message from the wireless device, wherein the authentication message includes a signaled identity of the wireless device, and extracts the signaled identity. In case the extracted identity is an alias and not a permanent identity of the wireless device, the network node responsively manipulates at least one further authentication message to cause the wireless device to signal its permanent identity in a subsequent authentication message.

摘要: There is provided a method of enabling identification of a wireless device in a wireless communication environment, the wireless device being attached to a cellular radio communication network. The method comprises the step of the wireless device sending, to a network node in a Wireless Local Area Network, WLAN, an identifier of the wireless device valid in the cellular radio communication network before or when contacting the WLAN for association of the wireless device in the WLAN. The identifier of the wireless device valid in the cellular radio communication network is signaled in a WLAN message to the network node in the WLAN.

The handover preparation procedure includes the sending of a handover prepare message (S47) from an access node (30) of a first radio access network to a connected wireless device (20). The wireless device prepares for handover by means of preparation signaling (S48) to access points of one or more second radio access networks indicated in the handover prepare message. The wireless device (20) informs the access node (30) upon concluding the handover preparation. Actual handover is ordered by means of a handover message (S52).

摘要: Embodiments of systems and methods relating to a cellular communications network and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) integration/aggregation are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a base station of a cellular communications network comprises obtaining one or more Allowed Wireless Local Area Network/Unlicensed Band Solution (AWUBS) indications from a core network of the cellular communications network. The one or more AWUBS indications are indicative of one or more AWUBSs allowed for a particular User Equipment (UE). The method further comprises using one of the one or more AWUBSs with respect to the UE. In this manner, the base station is enabled to obtain an indication(s) of the AWUBS(s) allowed for the UE and then use only an allowed AWUBS for that UE.
