The network node obtains an information related to an UL propagation condition associated to the wireless communications device. The network node determines a measure of imbalance between the UL propagation condition and a DL propagation condition associated to the wireless communications device. The measure of imbalance is based on the information related to the UL propagation condition. The network node determines the mobility criterion based on the measure of imbalance between the UL propagation condition and the DL propagation condition.

    摘要: There is provided a method for cell search in a communications network. The method is performed by a wireless terminal. The method comprises detecting a level of energy received in a frequency interval to be higher than a threshold value. The method comprises acquiring auxiliary information regarding available cells in the frequency interval based on frequency location and width of the frequency interval. The method comprises performing a cell search in at least a sub-band of the frequency interval using the auxiliary information. There is also presented a wireless terminal configured to perform such a method, a computer program, and a computer program product for such a method.

In some embodiments, systems and methods are disclosed for performing cell detection while suppressing interference from either a current serving cell or a previous serving cell of a wireless device depending on whether the wireless device is approaching the current serving cell or leaving the current serving cell. In this manner, cell detection is improved in a manner that is particularly suitable for, e.g., high speed train scenarios, but the systems and methods disclosed herein are not limited thereto.

    摘要: A method of a wireless communication device for a cellular communication system is disclosed. According to the method, a signal comprising a first known signal sequence and a second known signal sequence for each of one or more first cells of the cellular communication system is received, and the first and second known signal sequences of each of the one or more first cells are detected based on the received signal. For at least one of the one or more first cells, one of the first known signal sequence, the second known signal sequence, and a combination of the first and second known signal sequences is selected for channel estimation. The selection is based on the detected first and second known signal sequences of the one or more cells. Channel estimation of the at least one of the one or more first cells is performed based on the signal sequence selection. In some examples, the method may further comprise performing interference cancellation of at least one of the first and second known signal sequences of the at least one of the one or more first cells based on the channel estimation and detecting one or more second cells of the cellular communication system after the interference cancellation. Corresponding computer program product, arrangement and wireless communication device are also disclosed.

    摘要: In one aspect of the teachings herein, network-side and device-side methods and apparatus identify a subset of frequency layers on which a wireless device performs regular inter-frequency scanning. The subset is identified from among a set of frequency layers that are candidates for inter-frequency measurement by the device. In an example, the wireless device scans the set of frequency layers and the corresponding scan results are used to select the best frequency layers in the set. In turn, the wireless device performs regular inter-frequency measurements on the frequency layers in the selected subset. Scanning thus can be understood as a mechanism for intelligently selecting preferred ones among a number of frequency layers that are candidates for inter-frequency measurement by the device.
