Abstract: A controller includes: a control unit configured to calculate a control command value of an opening degree of a solenoid valve to control an opening degree of the solenoid valve; and an acquisition unit configured to acquire an estimated amount and a target amount of a working fluid in a labyrinth chamber, and a rotation speed of a drive shaft. The control unit calculates a final control command value based on a feedback control command value and a feedforward control command value, and controls the solenoid valve, the feedback control command value being calculated based on deviation between the estimated amount and the target amount, the feedforward control command value being used to maintain a rotation speed of a fan constant based on the estimated amount and the rotation speed of the drive shaft.

Abstract: A control device for an onboard engine is configured to control the oil discharge pressure of an oil pump and execute, when determining that there may be an abnormality in the control of the oil discharge pressure, a change process that increases the target discharge pressure to a value that is greater than that before it is determined that there may be an abnormality in the control. When a discharge pressure sensor value in a situation in which the discharge pressure is being controlled based on the target discharge pressure increased through execution of the change process does not become greater than or equal to a discharge pressure threshold, the control device sets an upper limit for the engine rotation speed and increases the upper limit as the discharge pressure sensor value increases.

Abstract: An engine cooling system includes a coolant circuit, a multi-way valve, a relief route and a relief valve. The coolant circuit includes a first route and a second route into which the coolant circuit is branched off at a branched position. The first route passes through a radiator. The multi-way valve is provided at the branched position. The relief route sets a relief source to a portion downstream of a pump and upstream of the multi-way valve in the coolant circuit, sets a relief destination to a portion downstream of the radiator in the first route, and causes coolant to flow from the relief source to the relief destination so as to bypass the multi-way valve.
