摘要: A roller leveler for flattening a metal sheet or plate having a cut-sheet form includes leveling rolls disposed in a staggered state on upper and lower sides of a pass line and configured to sandwich and flatten the metal sheet while pressing it therethrough, a hydraulic pressing cylinder for pressing the metal sheet via the leveling rolls, intermediate rolls set in contact with the respective leveling rolls from outside and larger in diameter than the leveling rolls, and a drive unit for rotating the intermediate rolls. The roller leveler causes the drive unit to rotate the intermediate rolls and transmits the driving force to the leveling rolls to pass the metal sheet while causing the pressing cylinder to press the metal sheet via the leveling rolls.

摘要: A pickling method which can effectively conduct pickling, and can shorten pickling time. The strip is plastic elongated by 0.1 to 10% before it is introduced into the pickling tank to form cracks. The strip is bent so that a surface strain of the strip is 0.2 to 1 times the plastic elongation during dipping the strip in the acid solution of the pickling tank, thereby making the cracks open and close, and supply of a fresh acid solution and expelling of an exhausted acid solution may be effectively conducted. Scale always contacts with a fresh acid solution by this bending operation, so that a scale dissolution reaction proceeds fast, thereby being capable of shortening the pickling time.

摘要: This invention relates to a non-contact electro-optical displacement follower which captures the image of a target or device under test optically, converts the said image into an electron image by optical-electrical conversion, and measures displacement. It forms a variable voltage which moves the electron image on the displayer to the desired location and can be applied to each deflection coil (8, 9) by arranging a variable voltage generator (18h, 18v) attached to each deflection coil so that the set-up and adjustment of the equipment and measurement preparations can be performed easily. Moreover, this equipment possesses a displayer (A1, A2, A3, A4) to indicate which position (up, down, right or left) the electron image moved due to the variable voltage, in spite of the fact that the electron image may be damaged temporarily if adjustment is excessive. Additionally, a non-contact electro-optical displacement follower of this invention can be equipped with a Light Servo circuit (27, 28) whose frequency response will eliminate effectively any optical noise changing in high speed. It also comes equipped with operation instructions to advise operators directions for each mode the equipment is in, as well as the mode to follow (KD, CPU, I).

摘要: A method of fabricating composite metal wires such as aluminium clad steel wires is disclosd which comprises providing a core of hard metal with a cladding of soft metal by extrusion. In fabricating a composite metal wire by extrusion, a core is generally aligned, polished, cleaned or otherwise pretreated before entering an extruder so that a high and variable tension is imparted to the core. By avoiding such tension variation and maintaining the core under a constant low tension and by electrically heating the core before the core enters the extruder, a composite metal wire of improved quality is fabricated in a stable manner.
