A broadcast receiving apparatus includes a first tuner configured to receive a broadcast wave from a specified broadcasting station, a second tuner configured to perform a frequency search for receivable broadcasting stations, a power supply unit configured to supply power to the first tuner and the second tuner, a traveling state detection unit configured to determine if a vehicle is moving or is stopped, a reception state detection unit configured to detect a reception state of a currently-received broadcast wave, and a control unit configured to control the first tuner, the second tuner, the power supply unit, the traveling state detection unit, and the reception state detection unit. The control unit causes power to be supplied to the second tuner and causes the second tuner to perform a frequency search while the vehicle is traveling, and when it is determined that the vehicle has stopped, the control unit turns the power supplied to the second tuner on and off in accordance with the reception state of the broadcast wave.

The invention provides a hot dip galvanized steel sheet which has: a hot dip galvanizing layer having a flat part on a surface thereof; and a film formed on the flat part. The film is composed of a compound containing Zn, Fe, and O, having an average film thickness A in a range from 10 to 100 nm determined by an element analysis of the film, and has {[Fe]/([Zn]+[Fe])} in the film in a range from 0.002 to 0.25, where [Zn] and [Fe] designate the content (% by atom) of Zn and Fe in the film, respectively. Since the hot dip galvanized steel sheet of the invention has excellent press-formability, bondability, and phosphatability, it is suitable for automobiles and electrical appliances.

An objective lens holder of the present invention includes: (i) a cavity, having an entrance and an exit, which guides, to an objective lens, an incident light beam entering the entrance, the exit being provided on a side of the cavity where the objective lens is housed; and (ii) an aperture having an opening for limiting, to an effective diameter of the objective lens, a beam diameter of the incident light beam passing through the cavity. The cavity is surrounded with internal wall surfaces facing each other so that space between the internal wall surfaces gradually increases from the opening of the aperture toward the entrance or the exit. This makes it possible to provide a highly rigid objective lens holder that allows high speed read/write operations.

A clothes dryer of the dehumidification type is disclosed in which hot air induced by a heater is circulated from a drying compartment through a heat exchanger. A volume, wetness, wetness unevenness, temperature, temperature unevenness of clothes to be dried and the temperature of the hot air blown out of the drying compartment are detected by respective detectors. Results of detection are input to a control device incorporating a neural network. The control device operates in the manner of neurocontrol to control a volume of outside air supplied to the heat exchanger and a heating value of the heater.

An iron powder for dust cores is provided which can be formed into a dust core having a high resistivity and having a low iron loss without degrading the mechanical strength. The iron powder for dust cores includes an iron powder and an oxide film on the surface thereof, wherein the oxide film is composed of a Si-based oxide in which the ratio of Si to Fe satisfies Si/Fe≧0.8 on an atomic number basis.

There is provided a combustor comprising a fuel nozzle which is comprised of a rodlike body which has a fuel passage and which is located in an air passage; a plurality of hollow members which are connected to the fuel passage and which extend in radial directions from the rodlike body into the air passage; at least one injection port formed in each hollow member to inject a fuel from the fuel passage into the air passage; and a projection which extends from a farmost inner wall of each hollow member that is most distant from an axis of the rodlike body to the injection port that is most distant from the axis. A hole for leaking fuel that is connected to an air passage may be formed in a farmost inner wall of the hollow member that is more distant from an axis of a rodlike body than the injection port that is most distant from the axis, or may be formed to be adjacent to all the injection ports on an upstream or downstream side in the direction of the airflow. Thus, a vortex does not occur in the hollow column.
