摘要： In a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine wherein a crankthrow is shortened by the use of a multi-link mechanism, the crankthrow from the axis of a main journal to the axis of a crankpin is set shorter than one-half of a piston stroke, and an oil passage is formed to supply lubricating oil to a bearing portion of the crankpin. The pin-side opening of the oil passage, which is open at the outer peripheral surface of the crankpin, is formed in ranges other than angular ranges of 0°, 90°, 180°, and 270° with respect to a reference line extending from the axis of the main journal toward the axis of the crankpin in a decentering direction of the crankpin, thereby alleviating a stress concentration caused by a torsional torque in the vicinity of the pin-side opening of the oil passage.

摘要： A method for producing a high molecular weight polyester having swell of 1-200 percent is described. In the method, a mixture consisting of (a) 100 parts by weight of a linear saturated polyester; (b) 0.3˜10 parts by weight of a mixture, as a coupling agent, which is composed of (1) 0-100 percent by weight of a bifunctional epoxide ingredient containing 2 epoxide groups per molecule and (2) 100-0 percent by weight of a polyfunctional epoxide ingredient containing 3 and more epoxide groups per molecule; and (c) 0.01˜5 parts by weight of metal salt of carboxylic acid as a catalyst for coupling reaction, is heated at a temperature higher than a melting point of said polyester resin.

摘要： A fault recovery process of a computer is provided for removing a fault from the system as soon as possible, minimizing the secondary fault and improving the availability of the system. In a reliable computer, which includes a system bus, a main memory connected to the system bus, and at least one processing board connected to the system bus, at least one processing board executes the same instructions by n (n>=3) processing units having cache memories respectively. When one of the processing units of the processing board becomes faulty, the other processing units continue executing the processes, which are being executed by the faulty processing board, and then, the processes to be registered in the faulty processing board, are succeeded by other processing boards.

摘要： A pressure controller for an artificial respirator according to this invention includes a control valve facing a gas passage between an inspiratory gas inlet and an inspiratory gas outlet, and an elastic biasing means for elastically biasing the control valve against a valve seat. When an adjustment manipulating member moves backward, even the pivotal motion of the adjustment manipulating member does not operate an adjustment operating member. When the adjustment manipulating member is pulled out, the pivotal motion of the adjustment manipulating member operates the adjustment operating member, thereby adjusting the elastic biasing force of the elastic biasing means. This invention provides a pressure controller for an artificial respirator capable of reliably preventing unnecessary operating of the adjustment operating member although the pivoting operation of the adjustment manipulating member is simple as a whole, and there is no possibility that the adjustment manipulating member and the like are broken.
