摘要： A carrier for developer is disclosed, which is produced by a process including the steps of mixing and heating a carrier material containing a binder resin and a magnetic powder and essentially free of solvent to obtain a molten dispersion of the magnetic powder in the resin; spraying the molten dispersion into droplets; and cooling the droplets to solidify the droplets into carrier particles. The carrier has excellent sphericality, high surface smoothness, and long life when used as a component of a two-component type developer in electrophotography.

摘要： A process for producing carriers for a developer is disclosed, which comprises mixing and heating a carrier material containing a binder resin and a magnetic powder, and essentially free of solvent, to obtain a molten dispersion of the magnetic powder in the binder resin; spraying the molten dispersion into liquid droplets; and cooling the droplets to solidify the droplets into carrier particles. The process eliminates the use of solvents and produces carrier particles of superior toughness, surface smoothness, and sphericality.

摘要： When a vehicle collision is detected, a electric connection between a power supply and an input stage of an inverter is switched to the disconnected condition. Then, when a rotation speed of an alternating current motor is higher than an allowable rotation speed or a terminal voltage of a storage unit provided at the input stage is higher than an allowable terminal voltage, an exciting current command value is set at a value other than zero and a torque current command value is set at zero, and when the rotation speed is equal to or lower than the allowable rotation speed and the terminal voltage is equal to or lower than the allowable terminal voltage, both command values are set at zero. An exciting current component and a torque current component of an alternating current supplied from the inverter to the motor are controlled according to the set command values.

摘要： An output of a semiconductor impact sensor contained in an air bag ECU is used to make determination in light of a criterion for interrupting a high-voltage power supply, which is different from a criterion for inflating an air bag so that the semiconductor impact sensor forms a redundant system along with a conventional safing sensor to prevent malfunction. Furthermore, an output of the semiconductor impact sensor contained in the air bag ECU is used to make determination for safing and output a safing signal thereby, so that a redundant system can be formed for a front impact sensor, a side impact sensor, and a rear impact sensor. Accordingly, malfunction can be prevented when tampering such as a strike with a hammer occurs.
