    摘要: An optical fiber connector has a stop ring having an end portion having an outer periphery and an optical fiber cable having a strength member extending from an end thereof. An adhesive material is disposed over the end portions of the stop ring and the optical fiber cable so that at least a portion of the strength member of the optical fiber cable is embedded in the adhesive material. A heat-shrinkable tube has an inner surface and is disposed on the adhesive material so that the portion of the strength member is disposed between the inner surface of the heat-shrinkable tube and the outer periphery of the stop ring.

    摘要: The present invention provides a lid or a case for a sealed package, which is provided with a frame-shaped soldering material on its face to be joined, wherein the frame-shaped soldering material is formed of aligned ball-shaped soldering materials having particle sizes of 10 to 300 μm. This lid or case can be manufactured by the steps of: (1) forming a droplet from the soldering material in a molten state; (2) discharging the soldering material which has been formed into the droplet onto the face to be joined of the lid or the case to fix the ball-shaped soldering material on the face; and (3) repeating the steps (1) and (2).

    摘要: A highly reliable optical communications equipment is offered, which can control light more accurately than heretofore (i.e., less restrictions are imposed on the amount of attenuation and on the resolution) and which is equipped with a latching function. The optical communications equipment includes a piezoelectric actuator, a moving body moved by the piezoelectric actuator as a drive source, a multi-coating filter for controlling light that is a signal medium by movement of the moving body, a drive circuit for controlling the position of the multi-coating filter via the actuator, and a control circuit. The piezoelectric actuator uses bending vibrations produced in a piezoelectric vibrating body as a power source. If the moving body is not moved for a given time, the control circuit sends a function keeping signal to drive the actuator to such an extent that the moving body does not move. Thus, the function of the actuator is maintained.

    摘要: An optical switch has an input section for inputting a light beam and movable optical members each comprised of a piezoelectric actuator for inputting the light beam from the input section and for individually switching an optical path of the light beam. Each of the piezoelectric actuators has a piezoelectric body for undergoing oscillating movement and a movable body frictionally driven by oscillating movement of the piezoelectric body. A driving control device drives the piezoelectric bodies of the piezoelectric actuators and controls positions of the piezoelectric bodies to switch the optical path of the light beam. An output section outputs the light beam from the piezoelectric actuators.
