    Abstract: A facsimile transmission system includes circuitry to receive, from a user, a request for facsimile transmission of a document, and determine which one of first facsimile transmission and second facsimile transmission is to be performed, based on one of an attribute of the user, an attribute of a destination of the facsimile transmission, and an attribute of the document. The first facsimile transmission is transmitting the document by an image forming apparatus, and the second facsimile transmission is transmitting the document by a facsimile server. The circuitry further instructs to perform the one of the first facsimile transmission and the second facsimile transmission.

    Abstract: Coal is properly dried and the efficiency of a boiler is increased while suppressing any reduction in efficiency of the boiler and the generation of hydrocarbon gas components. Employed are a coal dryer that dries coal, a boiler in which the coal that is dried in the coal dryer is mixed with air for combustion and burned, an air heater that heats the air for combustion that is supplied to the boiler using combustion exhaust gas discharged from the boiler, a precipitator that collects dust included in the combustion exhaust gas, a desulfurization plant that performs a desulfurization process on the combustion exhaust gas, and heat recovery equipment that heats a heating medium using the combustion exhaust gas. The coal dryer dries the coal using the heat energy of the heating medium that has been heated in the heat recovery equipment.

    Abstract: The present technology relates to a receiving device, a receiving method, a program, and a receiving system which may improve reception performance in the case of receiving a signal with a variable frequency band. A receiving device according to an embodiment of the present technology includes a demodulation unit configured to convert a received signal to a baseband signal in the case where a first frequency differs from a second frequency, wherein the first frequency is a center frequency in a band of the received signal, the second frequency is a center frequency in a band of a desired signal included in a part of the band of the received signal, and a DC component of the baseband signal is to be a frequency in the vicinity of the second frequency. The present technology may be applied to a receiver which receives an OFDM signal of DVB-C2.

    Abstract: There is provided an exhaust gas treatment system including a CO2 recovery unit with further enhanced energy efficiency.
