    摘要: A method for improving energy efficiency performance of a reader is disclosed in the present document. The method includes: initializing and adjusting operation parameters, and acquiring the current number of frame timeslots; updating a frame timeslot status, and determining that a power level is not required to be increased according to the updated frame timeslot status; and estimating the number of labels according to the current number of frame timeslots, and acquiring an optimum Q value according to the number of labels. A device for improving energy efficiency performance of a reader is also disclosed in the present document. With the method and device of the present document, throughput of a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system is maximized, thereby reducing energy consumption of the system and extending usage time of the system; and while the energy consumption is reduced, a rate at which the reader reads the labels is guaranteed.

The reporting method for a network state includes: an intermediate node receiving a data packet; the intermediate node marking the data packet according to the current network state; and the intermediate node forwarding the marked data packet.     摘要: Rapid uplink synchronization is enabled by reducing a 2D search problem to two 1D search problems, which can generally be performed in less time. Advantage is taken of fact that a mobile device sends a ranging code on multiple sub-carriers. Using the assumption that adjacent sub-carriers will have approximately equivalent channel characteristics, phase ambiguity can be removed by differentially combining pairs of adjacent sub-carriers. Once the phase ambiguity is removed, the code, timing, and power level may be determined relatively quickly. In one embodiment, the values of correlations between received signals and possible codes are compared with a threshold.

    摘要: The inventive subject matter relates to a method for the diagnosis of Orientia tsutsugamushi infection by measuring the increased or decreased expression of specific human genes following infection by microarray or polymerase chain reaction analysis. The method employs the creation of gene modulation profiles in patients suspected to be infected with O. tsutsugamushi and comparing the profiles with a pre-determined profile of genes known to modulate in response to O. tsutsugamushi exposure and infection. The method permits the early detection of O. tsutsugamushi infection and diagnosis of scrub typhus earlier than currently available methods. The method also permits mid-course monitoring of disease progression with greater detail than currently available methods.
