    摘要: A control device for a vehicular automatic transmission is provided which can preferably execute backpressure control of accumulators and torque-up control so as to minimize the occurrence of interference between learning on these controls during a gearshift operation. With the control device for the vehicular automatic transmission including the accumulators (104, 106 and 108) operative to control a hydraulic pressure supplied to second and third clutches (C2 and C3) and a third brake (B3), the backpressure control is executed for controlling a backpressure of the accumulators (104, 106 and 108) during the gearshift operation while the torque-up control is executed for raising torque output from an engine (12). Completion of learning on the backpressure control is determined when no completion of learning on the backpressure control is determined, learning on the backpressure control is executed with no execution of the torque-up control. Thus, no interference occur between learning on the backpressure control and the torque-up control.

    摘要: In a perpendicular magnetic recording head comprising a main magnetic pole layer and a return yoke layer which are laminated with a magnetic gap layer interposed therebetween, a nonmagnetic throat height determining layer and a return yoke reinforcement layer made of a magnetic material having a saturated magnetic flux density higher than that of the return yoke layer are provided on the magnetic gap layer. The nonmagnetic throat height determining layer has a front end face parallel to the medium-opposing surface at a position retracted by a desirable throat height from the medium-opposing surface. The return yoke reinforcement layer is formed directly under the return yoke layer so as to extend at least from the front end face of the nonmagnetic throat height determining layer to the upper face thereof, and is exposed at the medium-opposing surface between the magnetic gap layer and return yoke layer.

    摘要: A concave portion is formed on the end surface of a main magnet pole layer on the trailing side. A convex portion is formed on the end surface of a return yoke layer on the leading side, which opposes the concave portion formed on the end surface of the main magnet pole layer on the trailing side, and the distance (gap length) between the main magnet pole layer and the return yoke layer in the direction of the film thickness is constant. Consequently, the magnetic field generating from the main magnet pole layer toward the recording medium is appropriately prevented from isotropically spreading in the trailing direction, and the width of magnetization reversal between the recording patterns, which are magnetized reversely from each other, can be reduced over the entire area.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing a perpendicular magnetic recording head is provided. The method accurately defines a gap layer. The method includes forming a lower gap layer made of a non-magnetic material on a main magnetic pole layer. An upper gap layer is formed on the lower gap layer, the upper gap layer being made of the non-magnetic material. A resist layer is formed on the upper gap layer, and the resist layer is removed from an end surface. The upper gap layer not covered with the resist layer is removed, while exposing a new film surface by removing a surface oxidation layer of the resist layer. A return path layer is formed by plating on the exposed lower gap layer, the upper gap layer, and the resist layer through the plating underlayer.
