Abstract:
The invention is drawn to flexible self-adhesive mineral wool laminate, comprising—a mineral wool insulation mat with a first and second main face, —a first facing laminated onto the first main face of the mineral wool insulation mat, —a second facing which is a double-sided adhesive structure adhered with one if its adhesive faces to the second main face of the mineral wool insulation mat, the other adhesive face being made of or comprising a pressure sensitive adhesive, the laminate being characterized by the fact that the double-sided adhesive structure comprises a plurality of through-holes, and to use of such laminates for insulating metallic sheet ducts or cavities.
Abstract:
A panel for self-supporting ducts, in particular air-conditioning ducts, made up of a core of mineral wool, covered on its external face with an exterior covering joined to the external surface of the core, the exterior covering including a sheet of aluminum and the sheet of aluminum being the outermost sheet of the exterior stack, wherein the sheet of aluminum exhibits, at least on its outwardly exposed face, diffuse reflection greater than its specular reflection.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an anhydride-free insulation system for current-carrying construction parts of an electric engine which comprises:(A) a mica paper or mica tape for wrapping parts of said electric engine that are potentially current-carrying during operation of the engine, which mica paper or mica tape is impregnable via vacuum pressure impregnation with a thermally curable epoxy resin formulation and comprises one or more thermally activatable sulfonium salt initiators for the homopolymerisation of the epoxy resins present in said said thermally curable epoxy resin formulation or a mixture thereof in an amount sufficient to homopolymerize the epoxy resin taken up by the mica paper or mica tape and the construction part of the engine during the vacuum pressure impregnation step; (B) a thermally curable bath formulation for the vacuum pressure impregnation comprising (i) a polyglycidyl ether or a mixture thereof, and (ii) a cycloaliphatic epoxy resin comprising at least two epoxy groups, which are fused to a cycloaliphatic ring, or a mixture thereof, which formulation is substantially or, preferably, entirely free of thermally activatable curing initiators for the epoxy resin formulation.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an insulation fiber composite. In particular, a surface of the insulation fiber composite is substantially improved such that a shape of three dimensions can be maintained as a heat resisting fiber and an insulation material are integrated. The insulation fiber composite of the present invention has excellent formability and surface property and comprises an insulation layer; and a pair of inorganic fiber layers. A first inorganic fiber layer of the pair is stacked on an upper surface of the insulation layer and a second inorganic fiber layer is stacked on a lower surface of the insulation layer, respectively. In particular, each the inorganic fiber layers has a greater planar surface area than a planar surface area of the insulation layer such that the insulation is not exposed to an exterior when the insulation layer and the pair of the inorganic fiber layers are stacked
Abstract:
A multi-layer fabric configured for use as a protective cover includes a top and bottom textile layer and an air permeable, moisture-vapor-transmissive, expanded polytetrafluoroethylene membrane layer located between the two textile layers. At least the top layer is a textile layer made of woven or non-woven basalt fibers. The bottom layer may also be a basalt layer. The cover exhibits an MVTR rating of at least 4000 g/m2/day.
Abstract:
This invention is directed to a non-rigid composite sheet comprising in order a first component having an areal density of from 102 to 678 gsm comprising a first fabric of filamentary yarns having a tenacity of at least 11 g/dtex and a UV and weather impervious first polymeric layer, a second component having an areal density of from 10 to 170 gsm comprising a flame resistant inorganic refractory layer adjacent to at least one protective polymeric layers, and a third component having an areal density of from 102 to 678 gsm comprising a second fabric of filamentary yarns having a tenacity of at least 11 g/dtex and an impact and scratch resistant second polymeric layer, the second fabric of the third component being adjacent to the refractory layer of the second component.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an eco-friendly incombustible biocomposite including: a) a polymer matrix comprising a natural fiber; and b) a ceramic sheet laminated integrally with the polymer matrix. The biocomposite is eco-friendly since the natural fiber is used as a reinforcement material and is incombustible since it is laminated integrally with the ceramic sheet. Further, it has superior storage modulus, dimensional stability and flexural properties and lightweightness, and is processable into various structures. Thus, it is very useful for automotive or building indoor/outdoor materials.
Abstract:

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a mat of polymer fibers capable of trapping formaldehyde which contains at least one dihydrazide.Another subject of the invention is the use of said mat, in particular as a surface covering for thermal and/or sound insulation products, in particular based on mineral wool, polystyrene or on an organic or inorganic foam.
Abstract:
The present invention provides for a resin mixture that comprises a highly structured resin 40 and a less structured resin 50. The highly structured resin 40 and the less structured resin 50 are mixed to a ratio of between 1:9 and 4:1 by volume, with a more particular ratio of 1:5 to 3:1. The highly structured resin forms ordered micro regions and the ordered micro regions impose order on surrounding less structured resin molecules. The micro regions are essentially groups of the HS resin that will naturally form order structures.
