    摘要: Certain pressure sensor devices are much smaller than prior art devices, yet are at least as sensitive as the prior art devices. A capacitive pressure sensor can include a flexible substrate that permits bending of a pressure sensing region without significantly affecting operation thereof. The pressure sensor can include a flexible membrane in which an electrode is sandwiched between two layers of polymeric material. The sandwiched electrode can be extremely close to a reference electrode so as to provide for highly sensitive capacitance readings, yet the membrane can be restricted from contacting the reference electrode under high pressure conditions.

    摘要: High-resolution, selective, and self-optimizing haptic and electrotactile display and methods of use. In an embodiment of a feedback system referenced herein, the feedback system includes a prosthesis configured to be worn by an individual, including at least one prosthesis sensor configured to detect a state or condition in an environment of the at least one prosthesis sensor, and at least one actuator in communication with the at least one prosthesis sensor and configured to receive data relating to the detected state or condition and to stimulate a nerve of the individual; a neural sensor positioned upon or within the individual, configured to detect a neural response relating to the stimulation of the nerve by the at least one actuator; and a processor in communication with at least one of the at least one prosthesis sensor, at least one of the at least one actuator, and the neural sensor.

The first electrode includes carbon nanotubes, a conductive polymer, and a metallization on said carbon nanotubes. The second electrode similarly includes carbon nanotubes, a conductive polymer, and a metallization on said carbon nanotubes. The solid state electrolyte is disposed at least in part between the first electrode and the second electrode. In at least some embodiments, the conductive polymer of the first electrode includes polyaniline, and the metallization of the first electrode is a gold metallization.
