摘要: The invention relates to a method for determining the volume of distribution of a blood component in the body of a living organism, especially the volume of distribution of urea, during an extracorporeal blood treatment. According to this method, the blood to be treated flows through the blood chamber (3) of a dialysis machine (1) in an extracorporeal circuit, said dialysis machine being divided into said blood chamber and a dialysing liquid chamber (4) by a semipermeable membrane (2). Dialysing liquid flows through the dialysing liquid chamber of the dialysis machine in a dialysing liquid channel. The method is based on the determination of the temporal change in the concentration of the blood component in the blood upstream of the dialysis machine using the temporal variation in a physical or chemical characteristic of the dialysing liquid upstream and downstream of the dialysis machine and the determination of the volume of distribution of the substance in the body of a living organism using the temporal variation in the concentration of the blood component in the blood. The invention also relates to a device for the extracorporeal blood treatment, comprising a device for determining the volume of distribution of a blood component in the body of a living organism.

摘要: A welding device has a beam source to generate electromagnetic beams for absorption in an object to be welded at a welding location, and at least one sensor situated to detect electromagnetic process beams generated during welding at the welding location. The sensor is to generate a sensor signal as a function of the detected process beams. The welding device also has a processing unit, which is connected to the sensor and the beam source, the processing unit being configured to control at least one parameter of the beam generation of the beam source as a function of the sensor signal. The welding device is to delimit by a window a beam bundle of the emitted process beams in a plane transverse to the beam propagation direction; in the plane, the window has a longitudinal dimension greater than a transversal dimension of the window perpendicular to the longitudinal dimension.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for performing an oilfield operation. The method steps include obtaining oilfield data sets associated with oilfield entities, generating a stochastic database from the oilfield data sets based on an artificial neural network of the oilfield data sets, screening the oilfield data sets to identify candidates from the oilfield entities, wherein the screening is based on the stochastic database, performing a detail evaluation of each candidates, selecting an oilfield entity from the candidates based on the detail evaluation, and performing the oilfield operation for the selected oilfield entity.

摘要: The invention relates to devices for the quantum-optical amplification of modulated light, in particular in optical free-space communications systems. In the process a light beam (4) is conducted through a plurality of adjoining crystals (66), (68), (70), which are delimited from each other by means of polarization-selectively reflecting layers (104), (106). The light beam (4) is repeatedly reflected at the edge areas of the crystals into quarter-wave plates (86), (88), (90), (92), (94), and in the process its polarization is respectively rotated by 90 degrees.
