    摘要: Power supply equipment includes an adapter which converts power from a power source to DC power for powering an electronic device. The power supply equipment includes circuitry which produces a data signal for use by the electronic device to control power drawn by the electronic device. A cable, extends from the adapter. The power supply equipment further includes a tip which has an input side and an output side. The input side of the tip is detachable mateable to the cable. The output side of the tip is detachably mateable to the electronic device. The tip output side has a shape and size dependent on the shape and size of a power input opening of the electronic device. The tip provides the data signal, as well as the DC power, to the electronic device. Different tips may be used to provide appropriate data signals to different electronic devices.

    摘要: A power supply provides a low touch-temperature surface by utilizing a plurality of spaced apart pegs which extend from a surface of a case away from heat generating components enclosed within the case. The top and side surfaces of the pegs and the surface of the case not occupied by the pegs are entirely directly exposed to ambient air. The tops of the pegs provide a touch surface having a temperature which is cooler than that at the base of the pegs. The pegs are preferably arranged to minimize heat transfer between adjacent pegs.

    摘要: Power supply equipment includes circuitry for converting an input voltage to first and second DC voltages provided at respective connection points. One of the connection points is electrically coupled to a first cable having at its distal end a connector or connector adapter which has a shape and pin out compatible for detachably mating with a first electronic device. A second connection point is electrically coupled to a second cable having at its distal end a connector or connector adapter which has a shape and pin out compatible for detachably mating with a second electronic device. Either or both of the cables may be electrically coupled to their respective connection points via respective connectors which detachably mate with respective proximal end connectors on the cables. The power supply powers the first electronic device at the first DC voltage and the second electronic device at the second DC voltage.

The secondary coil of the transformer is positioned at the summing node of the flux of the primary coils and the phase of the drive signals provided to the secondary coils is regulated to control the current and voltage provided by the secondary circuit. Preferably, all circuit components are surface mount devices and the transformer cores are E block planar cores mounted on the printed circuit board.
