摘要: This invention relates to a method for decreasing the foam formation during cultivation of a microorganism and to a method for producing an enhanced amount of a product of interest. The method comprises that the microorganism is modified in such a way that the microorganism does not produce an essential amount of at least one of the proteins, polypeptides or peptides associated with foam formation during cultivation of the unmodified microorganism. In particular the method comprises that the microorganism is modified not to produce an essential amount of amphipathic or hydrophobic proteins, polypeptides or peptides.

摘要: A method and apparatus for detecting remote network devices. In one embodiment, the method comprises detecting an event and a) transmitting a message requesting a response from one or more remote network devices, the message comprising a first network identification code, and b) determining whether a response to the message has been received, the response transmitted by a remote network device after receiving the message and determining that the first network identification code matches a second network identification code stored within the remote network device, the response comprising identification information of the remote network device. If c) a response has not been received, terminating the method for detecting remote network devices if a pre-determined time period has elapsed since transmitting the message. If d) a response has been received, storing identification information associated with the responding remote network device and repeating steps a-d until no further responses are received.

摘要: A tool for scribing tile includes a base member, a bottom member, and one or more bottom member opening. Further, bottom member is coupled to the base member through the one or more bottom member opening by at least one bottom fastener and slidable relative to the base member. The tool further comprises a center member defining at least one center member opening, wherein the center member is coupled to bottom member through the at least one center member opening by at least one center fastener and slidable relative to the bottom member.

摘要: A reflector (14) reflects energy emitting from an energy source (16) and focuses and directs it to a target. An aperture stop or suppressor disk (18) is positioned between the energy source (16) and target. The outer periphery of the aperture stop or suppressor disk (18) is an irregular curve (FIGS. 12 and 13). This shape of the periphery prevents diffraction enhancement to the direct wave. In another emobidment, the suppressor disk (18) is replaced by a suppressor member (18′) that is directly mounted on a frame portion of the energy source (16). This energy source (16) includes a spark-gap, or the like, and an open frame (36) that surrounds the spark-gap (52) or the like. This frame (32) includes a pair of laterally spaced apart frame members (42, 44) on the side of the frame (36) that faces the target (F2). The suppressor member (18′) is connected to these frame members (32, 44). It may have longitudinal grooves (48, 50) in its side edges into which the frame members (42, 44) snap-fit.

摘要: A method and apparatus for self-assigning network identification codes to a network device. In one embodiment, a method comprises determining if the network device comprises a default network identification code. If the network identification code comprises a default network identification code, transmitting a first network identification code and determining whether a first response was received to the first network identification code transmission. If no response was received, assigning the first network identification code to the network device. If the first response was received, transmitting a second network identification code and determining whether a second response in response to the second network identification code transmission was received. If so, assigning the second network identification code to the network device.
