摘要: The present invention relates to a method for detecting a defect in a barrel portion of a bottle. The defect in the barrel portion of the bottle includes a thin blister and a longitudinal streak. The defect in the bottle barrel is detected by imaging the bottle barrel with a CCD camera based on light which has passed through a light shield plate having a plurality of oblique slits and the bottle barrel, and processing the image of the bottle barrel generated by the CCD camera to determine whether or not the defect is present.

摘要: An automatic inspecting apparatus has a function for generating a discharge signal for discharging a defective object at a predetermined position. The automatic inspecting apparatus comprises an imaging device for imaging a moving object, a sensor for detecting the arrival of the object, an image processing unit for processing images produced by the imaging device to detect defective objects, and a discharge signal generating unit for discharging defective objects at a predetermined position. An ID number is assigned to each image produced by the imaging device, and pulses generated by an encoder start to be counted when each ID number is assigned. If the object is determined to be defective after image processing by the image processing unit, the discharge signal generating unit generates a discharge signal when the number of pulses counted for the corresponding ID number reaches a pulse number equivalent to the distance between the sensor position and the discharge position.

摘要: A disc drive apparatus comprises a housing; a disc-holding unit that holds an optical disc in the housing; a disc-driving mechanism that rotates the optical disc held by the disc-holding unit; an optical pickup that writes signals in, and reads signals from, the optical disc being rotated by the disc-driving mechanism; and a pickup-moving mechanism that moves the optical pickup in a radial direction of the optical disc. The housing has an air-inlet port which is located above the optical disc held by the disc-holding unit and through which air is drawn from outside by virtue of an airflow that develops as the optical disc is rotated, and air-outlet ports through which air is discharged from the housing.

摘要: An audio decoder which can reduce a memory circuit capacity necessary for performing a series of decoding processes and can perform a down mixing. The audio decoder decodes audio data of a plurality of channels encoded in a frequency domain by using a time base to frequency base conversion. After a down mixing process was performed to the audio data of the frequency domain by frequency domain down mixing circuit, it is converted into audio data of a time domain by frequency base to time base converting circuit, thereby reducing memories by the number corresponding to the reduced number of channels. Further, by executing an inverse quantizing process of each channel and a frequency base to time base converting process of each channel by pipeline processes, a work buffer can be shared in both of the processes.

摘要: In detection of a defect in a part of an object having a surface which is substantially a surface of revolution, the surface of the inspected part is illuminated by light rays which are emitted through an annular portion coaxially disposed with the surface of the inspected part, and light rays reflected at the surface of the inspected part are received to form an image of the inspected part. The image is constituted of pixels corresponding to the respective portions of the surface of the inspected part. Signals having a value indicative of the brightness of the pixels are stored in relation to the respective positions of the pixels in the image. The stored signals are referred repeatedly to provide, as a set of signals, a predetermined number of the signals of the pixels positioned along an imaginary line extending radially through a central point in the image corresponding to the axis of the surface of the inspected part and positioned and distributed within a radial range extending along the imaginary line. Judgement whether or not there is a defect is made in accordance with comparison of the signals of each set with a preset value, and with comparison between signals of two sets which are positioned along two of the imaginary lines which are proximate to each other.
