A fine metal particle-dispersion solution and a method for the solution are disclosed which enables to form a transparent conductive film having an uniform distribution of at least two kinds of metals and is produced by mixing an aqueous solution (A) of at lest one metal salt, the metal comprising one or more metals selected from the group consisting of Au, Pt, Ir, Pd, Ag, Rh, Ru, Os, Re and Cu and an aqueous solution (B) including citrate ion and ferrous ion under an atmosphere having substantially no oxygen to produce fine metal particles. A multi-layers conductive film having a low reflectivity, a low resistance and an excellent durability is available by using the dispersion solution of the present invention comprising Ag—Pd fine particles.

A method for manufacturing the white conductive fiber comprises the steps of mounting a wound fiber body formed by winding a continuous fiber to the fixing shaft, a step of flowing a plating solution from the fixing shaft to a plating bath via the wound fiber body so as to infiltrate the plating solution into the wound fiber body, and a step of performing electroless plating of silver, platinum, or the like on the fiber material while the plating solution flows.

This invention relates to a method for disentangling hollow carbon microfibers and to the dispersion of hollow carbon microfibers, preferably having an outer diameter of 3.5 to 70 nm and an aspect ratio of at least 5, to form transparent electrically conductive films. Hollow carbon microfibers, treated with strong acids such as sulfuric acid or oleum and an oxidizing agent such as nitric acid, are disentangled and dispersed homogeneously in a polar solvent. The slurry in which the microfibers are suspended can be coated on a substrate. The coating film is dried and a transparent electrically conductive film is formed. A carbon microfiber aggregation film with excellent transparency is obtained having a total transmittance of at least 80 percent and a haze value of at most 0.1%.

This invention relates to a process for preparing a titanium oxide powder comprising heating titanium dioxide powder in an atmosphere of ammonia gas at a temperature of about 500.degree. C. to about 950.degree. C. The product powder is very fine, highly uniform in particle size and useful as an electrically conductive material. The powder is colored blue to black depending upon the process conditions and therefore is useful as a pigment, too.
