    摘要: A process of manufacturing a shadow mask includes the steps of preparing a plurality of metal plates having a surface deviation characterized in that its Rsk value is not more than 0.3 .mu.m, preferably less than 0, its Sm value is not less than 60 .mu.m, and its Pc value relative to the band of 1 .mu.m width centered about the center line of a roughness profile is not more than 60/cm, forming a plurality of apertures in each of the plates, registrating and piling up the plates upon each other, annealing the plates piled upon each other, and pressing and molding the annealed metal plates into a predetermined curvature. Each of the metal plates preferably has Ra in the range from 0.1 to 0.7 .mu.m.

    摘要: A commutator has a tabular holding portion defining a thickness direction. A plurality of segments are arranged in one end in the thickness direction of the holding portion in a radial pattern. Each of the segments has a slidable contact surface which is perpendicular to the thickness direction. A feeding brush is brought into slidable contact with the slidable contact surface. A tabular short-circuit unit short-circuits the segments to be set to the same electric potential with each other. The short-circuit unit is arranged parallel to the slidable contact surface. Accordingly, it is possible to enlarge a cross-sectional area which is perpendicular to a current passing direction of the coupling portion while suppressing an enlargement of a dimension in the axial direction of the commutator.

The short-circuiting member includes components, each having outer and inner circumferences. Each component includes outer circumference terminals arranged along the outer circumference, inner circumference terminals arranged along the inner circumference, and connection portions connecting a corresponding one of the outer circumference terminals and a corresponding one of the inner circumference terminals that are separated from each other by a predetermined angle in a circumferential direction. The outer and inner circumference terminals are substantially formed along the same plane. The components are laminated in a state in which the connection portions of one of the components are reversed to the connection portions of another one of the components. The outer circumference terminals that are adjacent in a lamination direction are in contact with each other, the inner circumference terminals that are adjacent in the lamination direction are in contact with each other, and the connection portions that are adjacent in the lamination direction are not in contact with each other.

    摘要: A commutator main body has a cylindrical insulating body, and a plurality of segments arranged in an outer circumference of the insulating body. A short-circuit member is arranged in an end in an axial direction of the insulating body. The short-circuit member has a plurality of first short-circuit pieces and a plurality of second short-circuit pieces. A tabular insulating portion covers first coupling portions of the first short-circuit pieces, and second coupling portions of the second short-circuit pieces. The insulating portion has a restriction recess, and the end in the axial direction has a restriction projection. The restriction projection is engaged with the restriction recess, whereby the movement of the short-circuit member in the circumferential direction with respect to the commutator main body is restricted. Accordingly, the assembly of the short-circuit member in the commutator main body is facilitated.
