摘要： A transmitting method of digital data whereby information data can be reproduced at a high precision. In order to retain digital data in sectors comprising a plurality of sync frames and sequentially transmit, the sync frame is comprised of the sync signal and the run length limited code which satisfies the limitations of the minimum run length and the maximum run length, and the sync signal includes the sync pattern constituted by a bit pattern of a run length that is longer than the maximum run length by only 3T and addition bit patterns which are arranged before and after the bit pattern and each of which has a urn length that is longer than the minimum run length. The sync signal includes a specific code which indicates a position in the sector and which enables the DC control to be performed.

摘要： Image information is reproduced in respectively correspondence to monitors of different aspect ratios as in the NTSC system or HDTV system adaptive type. The image information recorded on a video disc is reproduced. An ID signal held in the video disc is detected. The aspect ratio of the image information to be generated is designated. Only when the aspect ratio indicated by the detected ID signal differs from the designated aspect ratio, the reproduced image information is converted into the image information of the designated aspect ratio. A standardized image signal is produced on the basis of the converted image information.

摘要： An optical disk includes: a plurality of recording tracks, each of the recording tracks having a data area for storing data, and a servo control information area for storing servo information; and tracking pits respectively formed on n neighboring recording tracks, which are adjacent to each other in a radial direction of the optical disk, where n is an integer not less than 3. The tracking pits are located in the servo control information area of each of the n neighboring recording tracks and are spaced apart from each other by a distance not less than a radius of a beam spot for reading data from the optical disk. The tracking pits of the n neighboring recording tracks are located on different radial lines of the optical disk.

The optical disk player comprises an optical irradiation system for focusing a laser beam as a spot along an information recording portion of an optical disk, and an optical detection system for guiding reflected light from the spot to a photosensor, whereby recorded information is reproduced based on an output signal from the photosensor. The information recording portion is formed of a reflection film whose reflectance increases gradually or stepwise in accordance with an increase in intensity of incident light. The optical irradiation system has an amplitude filter or a phase filter.

摘要： A pulse width adjustment circuit for an optical disk recording system selectively adjusts the width of pulses to be recorded in dependence upon an input control signal, which in turn is dependent upon the width of the pulse to be adjusted. In one embodiment a minimum bit length pulse is widened and all other pulses are narrowed. This is useful in recording on the inner portions of a CAV optical disk. In another embodiment a selectable control signal determines whether the minimum bit length signal is to be narrowed or widened.

摘要： An optical disc recording and playing apparatus records a video format signal on an optical disc on which an address signal is recorded in the form of prepits, while controlling the rotation of the optical disc on the basis of a phase difference between a synchronizing signal in the video format signal to be recorded and the address signal read-out from the optical disc, and reproduces the recorded video format signal. During the playing operation the apparatus generates a synchronizing signal which is synchronized with the reproduced video format signal and the generated synchronizing signal is outputted in place of the video format signal for the period of sections of the video format signal corresponding to the address signal. With this feature, generation of disturbances in the reproduced picture is surely prevented.

The position detecting means and the playback re-start switch means are connected in series with between ground and the control circuit, and the signals to control the start of playback operation include the signal from the playback re-start switch means.

摘要： An actuator drive circuit for driving a load using a single power supply. The current drive is not dependent on load impedance characteristics. Drive means provides a voltage across the first terminal and the second terminal during at input signal positive phase, and reverse voltage across the first terminal and the second terminal during a negative phase. A current detection resistor is connected in series with the load, and the voltage across the resistor is input to a differential amplifier.
