    摘要: A first DC/DC converter is provided between a rectifier for rectifying output of an electric generator driven by an engine, and a battery for supplying power to an in-vehicle load. An electric double layer capacitor and a second DC/DC converter for charge/discharge current control for the capacitor are provided between the rectifier and the first DC/DC converter. A control circuit sets a current target value which is a control target value for the second DC/DC converter, based on the voltage value of a battery bus, and when charging of the electric double layer capacitor is to be stopped based on a charge/discharge instruction signal, performs, before the charging is stopped, control of gradually attenuating the current target value for the second DC/DC converter, based on a voltage value VEDLC of the electric double layer capacitor.

    摘要: A ballast for a vehicle metal halide lamp is simplified using a DC-AC one-step-boost high frequency ballast system. To satisfy requirements specific to a metal halide lamp, a discharge developing capacitor is installed on a primary side of a transformer in parallel with a DC power supply, ensuring discharge development after a breakdown. To reduce the size and increase the operating voltage of the transformer, a booster circuit and voltage-doubler circuit are installed on the primary side and secondary side of the transformer, respectively. To reduce the size of the transformer and achieve a stable discharge, the ballast frequency is swept within a range between the specified minimum frequency and maximum frequency so that the center frequency is from 80 kHz to 120 kHz, and the same frequency is unsustained for more than 10 msec.

    摘要: A method of driving a plasma display panel for generating picture or image with high quality while suppressing luminance to a low level in the display in black. One field for image display is composed of at least two different types of subfields first and second subfields. In the first subfield (subfield A), a reset period is provided in which after a priming pulse (Pp) having a voltage value and a pulse width has been applied between X- and Y-row electrodes for causing discharge to occur in all of pixels, then the voltage applied between both the electrodes is set to zero for erasing wall charge after the discharge of all of the pixels, while in the second subfield (subfield B), a reset period is provided in which an erasing pulse (Ep) having a voltage value and a pulse width for causing only the pixels discharged in the preceding subfield to be discharged has been applied for allowing only the pixels discharged in the preceding subfield to be discharged, the wall charge is erased by setting to zero the voltage applied between the X- and Y-row electrodes.
