摘要: The invention relates to a flame retardant (meth)acrylate composition combining an impact-resistant (meth)acrylic polymer (such as Solarkote® resin from Trinseo) with specific levels of selected organic phosphinate and selected organic phosphorous flame retardants. The composition is halogen free, with superior flame performance, flowability and impact resistance. The composition of the invention is melt-processible and can be co-extruded with a thermoplastic substrate material to obtain a multilayer structure, having a tough, impact resistant cap layer(s). The obtained multilayer structure can be further thermoformed into useful profiles and structures, such as the exterior housing of EV charging stations and car wash stations, automotive applications, aerospace, and building and construction applications.

摘要: Polymeric resin compositions, and preferably acrylic or styrenic polymeric compositions, which are especially useful as a capstock material for coextrusion over, or lamination onto structural plastics. The polymeric capstock resin compositions contain an efficient small core-shell impact modifier that allows for a novel combination of properties: a high impact resistance capstock resin with high melt flow rate and low water haze that allows for better processability and durability for use in high temperature and high humidity environments. Multilayer structures formed using the polymeric capstock composition over a thermoplastic substrate.

摘要: Poly(meth)acrylate formulations include acrylic copolymers having acrylic monomer units including xanthate, thiocarbonylthio, disulfide, or dithioester functionality. The acrylic copolymers can be blended with poly (meth)acrylate resins to provide a blended composition having a healable property. The xanthate, thiocarbonylthio, disulfide, or dithioester functionality can be activated by the addition of energy, such as heat, or radiation, to remove marring from the surface of a coating, film, or sheet.

摘要: The invention relates to the composition of core-shell impact modifiers, in particular those with a high Tg core, a low Tg inner shell and a high Tg outer shell, synthesized in such a way to have a unique concentric morphology and/or a combination of high rubber loading and low particle size and/or require only a low surfactant level. The incorporation of these impact modifiers into polymeric compositions allows for a novel combination of high impact while retaining high gloss or a combination of high impact while retaining low haze in the presence of water at elevated temperatures. These impact modifiers also allow excellent efficiency in their use- allowing for excellent impact to be achieved at low loadings.
