摘要:
The present invention provides a process for removing ascorbic acid from aqueous solutions by the addition of ascorbate oxidase, wherein catalase and hydrogen peroxide are also added to the solution. The present invention also provides an agent for the removal of ascorbic acid from aqueous solutions, based on a solid carrier material impregnated with ascorbate oxidase, wherein the carrier material also contains catalase and hydrogen peroxide and optionally also a stabilizer and/or buffer substance.

The present invention provides a process for the kinetic determination of .gamma.-glutamyl transferase activity by the reaction of a .gamma.-glutamylarylamide with the formation of an arylamine at a pH value of from 6 to 10, wherein the arylamine is simultaneously reacted with an aromatic amine or phenol appropriate as a coupling component and an appropriate oxidation agent to give a colored compound with an absorption maximum above 565 nm, the rate of formation of which is monitored photometrically and is used as a measure for the .gamma.-glutamyl transferase activity. The present invention also provides a reagent for the kinetic determination of .gamma.-GT activity, wherein it contains the following reagents:.gamma.-GT-arylamide:1-100 mmol/l..gamma.-glutamyl acceptor (glycylglycine):10-500 mmol/l.coupling component:1-500 mmol/l.oxidation agent:0.1-500 mmol/l.buffer:10-1000 mmol/l.
摘要:
The invention relates to a method useful in separating non-high density lipoproteins, referred to as "non-HDLs", from biological fluids containing them. A porous carrier is provided which contains a non-HDL precipitating agent. One need only contact the sample of interest to the carrier for one minute or less, after which the precipitated non-HDL-s are no longer present in the sample being tested. The applications of the method include the ability to determine high density lipoproteins in the sample without interference from non-HDLs.
摘要:
An apparatus comprising a first porous carrier and a second porous carrier for evaluating biological fluid samples is disclosed. The apparatus is used for separating non high density lipoprotein (non-HDL) from a lipoprotein in a body sample and for determining high density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol in a HDL and non high density lipoprotein (non-HDL) in a body sample.

The subject matter of the application is a method for the separation of non-HDL lipoproteins from biological fluids in a carrier through which liquids can flow. The carrier contains a precipitating agent for non-high density lipoproteins (non-HDLs).

A cuvette for the determination of a chemical component of a fluid by photo evaluation has two planar-shaped parts parallel to one another at least one of which is transparent in the spectral range used for the evaluation. A planar distance piece of a filamentary reticulation for receiving the fluid therein spaces the planar-shaped parts apart to set the length of the light path through the cuvette for the photo evaluation.
