摘要: In a fuse chamber (8) there is arranged as a quenching gas source a burn-off element (11), which concentrically surrounds an arc chamber (10) and is separated from it by a fuse element (9), which consists of metal foil, preferably silver foil, and the outer side of which is adjoined by the burn-off element (11). The latter consists of an igniting material (12), arranged in the form of a ring running around centrally, and a gas-evolving material (13). Both materials consist, for example, of guanidine or guanidine derivatives as the combustible material and an oxidant, the proportion of which in the igniting material (12) is hyperstoichiometric. The arc chamber (10) is bounded at opposite ends by nozzles (7a,b), which connect it to exhaust volumes (4a,b). When there is an overcurrent, the fuse element (9) heats up to the igniting temperature of the igniting material (12) and is torn open centrally. The arc forming is axially blown by the quenching gas, which forms during the burning-off of the burn-off element (11), and quenched. The fuse element (9) may centrally have a triggering zone, where it is more easily interruptible, in particular meltable. The quenching gas source may also comprise compressed-gas tanks or cold-gas generators.

摘要: The subject of the invention is a high-voltage thick-film high rupturing capacity substrate fuse. The characteristic feature of the inventive fuse is that inside a tubular insulating casing /1/, which is closed at both ends with metal endocarps /2/ and filled with arc quenching medium /3/ there is located at least one insulating substrate /4/, along which there is placed at least one fuse element /5/ in the form of a thin conducting film and which has terminal areas /6/ at its ends, which areas are electrically connected with the end-caps by specially shaped contacts /7/ located inside the end-caps. The fuse element comprises a basic part formed by multiple identical V-shaped modules and two end modules forming electric connections between the basic part and the terminal areas. In each module, the arms of the V shape, of a specific width, end with arches directed outwards /8/, which arches are connected with the arches of the arms of the neighboring modules by means of line segments, thus forming a line, which bends many times at a constant angle and has truncated vertices in each module, in which line at least one module contains at least one edge constriction /9/, enabling opening of the current path when the fuse is overloaded.

摘要: Mold-free resin-insulated coil windings are obtained by applying continuous fibers embedded in a quasi-solid-state epoxy-resin matrix, e.g. in the form of a tape, to the coil windings. The tape is locally heated up to the melting point of its polymer matrix, and is subsequently pressed against the winding body. The heated and fused resin of the tape, which is pressed onto the coil, flows under pressure into the voids and gaps between the coil windings and fills them up, thereby hermetically insulating the coil windings. After leaving the heating and pressing apparatus the fused epoxy resin becomes solid again. The resulting curing process is thus considerably simplified and shortened, compared to the state of the art.

摘要: The fuse is used in the medium- and high-voltage sector and has two spaced-apart power supply connections (2, 3) and an active part (1). The active part comprises a fusible, current-carrying fuse element and an arc-extinguishing medium. The fuse element is connected in an electrically conducting manner to the two power supply connections and is arranged on an electrically insulating substrate. It is of a modular construction and has at least two modules (9) connected in series. The arc-extinguishing medium covers the exposed surfaces of the fuse element. The active part is formed in the manner of a sandwich and has two stable moldings (4, 5) and a predominantly planar intermediate layer (6) arranged between the moldings (4, 5). The intermediate layer (6) contains at least the two series-connected modules, whereas a first molding (4) of the two moldings is formed at least by part of the electrically insulating substrate and the second molding (5) is formed at least by part of the arc-extinguishing medium. The fuse is distinguished by a simple construction and by favorable triggering characteristics.

摘要: A fuse has a fuse element (6), composed of silver, with constrictions (7) which follow one another at regular intervals, and which fuse element makes contact with a combustible element (8), preferably over its entire length. The combustible element (8) is composed of a combustion compound, which is essentially of a fuel such as guanidine or a guanidine derivative and a metal such as Mg or Al and an oxidant such as KNO3, NaNO3, NH4NO3, KClO4, NaClO4, KMnO4, the proportion of which is overstoichiometric by a factor of at least 1.1, and preferably of at least 10. The combustible compound also preferably contains a binding agent such as paraffin, a thermoplastic or an elastomer, so that it can be extruded. It has an ignition temperature of between 160° C. and 260° C. and emits more than 200 J/g of heat, so that it ignites even in the event of small overcurrents and melts the entire length of the fuse element (6).

摘要: A method for operating an electrical power supply network is described. The power supply network has several levels of different voltages. The levels are interconnected by switches. A first switch is made so that the maximum interruptible short-circuit current of the first switch is smaller than the maximum flowing short-circuit current. In the event of failure, a test is made as to whether the short-circuit current presently flowing through the first switch is smaller than the maximum interruptible short-circuit current. The first switch will remain closed if this is not the case, and the first switch will be opened if this is the case.
