    Abstract: A method of oil pre-conditioning for an electric powertrain for a vehicle configured to provide electric propulsion of the vehicle, said electric powertrain comprising the first electric motor being linked to the first gear module, a secondary shaft being linked to the second gear module, the second electric motor being linked to the third gear module through a motor shaft, the differential being shared by both electric motors,
    The electric powertrain is surrounded by an oil. The method includes the steps of selecting an oil pre-conditioning configuration wherein the secondary shaft does not rotate and at least one of the first electric motor or the second electric motor rotates while the other is in driving mode leading to the heating of the oil to reach a threshold temperature and applying the selected oil pre-conditioning configuration.

    Abstract: This method for monitoring the state of health of a powertrain of an electric vehicle, wherein the powertrain comprises an electric motor and a drivetrain, wherein the drivetrain delivering the motor torque to mechanical components of the electric vehicle, includes an analysis cycle that includes: running the electric motor in a first direction of rotation until a first preset speed of the electric motor is reached; maintaining the first preset speed until stabilization of the powertrain; measuring a first motor torque delivered by the electric motor to the drivetrain; and establishing a state of health of the powertrain by analyzing said first motor torque. The method further includes comparing the state of health established during the analysis cycle of the powertrain to a reference value to detect wear of the powertrain.

    Abstract: an electric powertrain integrated into a vehicle axle. Such electric axle (or “E-axle”) is a front or rear axle that includes an axle body (or “housing”) adapted to receive a powertrain, which is arranged to provide torque to the wheels of the axle. The “E-Axle” is a compact and economical electric drive solution for battery electric vehicles, fuel cells and hybrid applications. The electric motor(s), electronics and transmission are combined in a compact unit that directly drives the wheels provided at the longitudinal ends of the axle.

    Abstract: The method for monitoring the wear of a powertrain includes an analysis cycle that includes, in this order, preventing mechanical components from moving; rotating an electric motor in a first direction until a torque value delivered by the electric motor reaches a predetermined threshold, a first angular position of the electric motor being reached; rotating the electric motor in a second direction opposite to the first direction until a torque value delivered by the electric motor reaches the predetermined threshold, a second angular position of the electric motor being reached; and calculating a backlash value of the powertrain on the basis of the first and second angular positions. The method further includes comparing the backlash value calculated during the analysis cycle to a reference value to monitor wear of the powertrain.
