摘要: Techniques are described for providing a storage service that stores information about large numbers of transactions in a persistent manner, such as with a high degree of reliability, availability and scalability based at least in part on use of a distributed computing and storage system. In some situations, the transaction information storage service stores various information about transactions that each include at least one monetary payment (e.g., a micro-payment) between financial accounts of two or more of numerous users having accounts with one or more entities. The transaction information storage service may be provided by or otherwise affiliated with a merchant, and customers of the merchant may purchase usage of the storage service for programs executed by or otherwise affiliated with the customers, with the storage service available to remote executing programs via a defined API of the storage service, such as a Web services-based API.

摘要: A power control system includes a switching power converter and a controller. The controller is configured to detect an over-current condition of an inductor current in the switching power converter using at least one non-inductor-current signal. In at least one embodiment, the switching power converter does not have a resistor or resistor network to sense the inductor current. In at least one embodiment, the controller indirectly determines a state of the inductor current using at least one non-inductor-current signal. Potentially damaging inductor current values that are, for example, greater than a normal maximum value or at a value that causes a discontinuous conduction mode system to operate in continuous conduction mode represent exemplary inductor over-current conditions addressed by one embodiment of the power control system.

摘要: The present invention provides a solar cooling system which is so small in size so that it can be used as a building material. The design based on absorption and adsorption refrigeration cycle has been developed to fulfill this objective. The design has been developed such that the system is completely independent and does not require any other source of energy apart from solar heat. Also an effort is made to design the system so that the cooling capacity is automatically increased or decreased based on available solar heat energy.

摘要: A conformal fetal heart monitor includes a flexible substrate and a ultrasonic transducer array, coupled to the flexible substrate, that generates an ultrasonic transmission signal over a sequence of beam angles, that receives an ultrasonic return signal, and that generates an ultrasonic receive signal in response to the ultrasonic return signal. A transducer interface couples the ultrasonic receive signal to a processing system. A flexible housing that houses the flexible substrate, the ultrasonic transducer array and the transducer interface, wherein the flexible housing flexibly, when deployed, conforms to the surface of an abdomen of a patient.

摘要: An electronic lighting system and method described herein control energy provided to an electronic lighting device, such as one or more light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and/or compact fluorescent lamps (CELs), of the electronic lighting system. A triac-based dimmer phase cuts a line voltage provided to the electronic lighting system. A controller of the electronic lighting system utilizes a probing system to overcome idiosyncrasies of the triac-based dimmer to allow the controller to probe and sense the line voltage. To reduce energy consumption, rather than probing each cycle of the output voltage of the triac-based dimmer, the controller periodically or intermittently probes the output voltage of the triac-based dimmer.

摘要: Data traffic, latency, and power consumption in a mobile unified communication environment are reduced by optimizing communication between a mobile client application and a mobile data server through determining optimum delay between exchanged messages and/or filtering portions of data not relevant to the mobile client application at the server. 摘要: A method and system for synchronizing video information derived from an asynchronously sampled video signals provide a mechanism for using asynchronous sampling in the front-end of digital video capture systems. A ratio between the sampling clock frequency and the source video clock frequency is computed via an all digital phase-lock loop (ADPLL) and either a video clock is generated from the ratio by another PLL, a number to clock converter or the ratio is used directly to provide digital synchronization information to downstream processing blocks. A sample rate converter (SRC) is provided in an interpolator that either acts as a sample position corrector at the same line rate as the received video, or by introducing an offset in the ADPLL, the video data can be converted to another line rate via the SRC.
