    摘要: Objects and their placement within a particular scene may be characterized using structured light with no or minimal manual intervention or calibration to the scene. The structured light pattern may be rendered with visible light, yet imperceptible to users, by generating a set of opposing excursions in one or more image properties for durations which are shorter than the integration time of the human eye. A set of assumptions and ongoing testing of those assumptions against physical objects identified within the environment allows characterization of the scene and the objects therein.

    摘要: A method for writing data to a display, wherein logical segments (groups of rows) are dynamically redefined to displace the intersegment boundaries and delocalize inter-pixel electrical fields occurring across the intersegment boundaries. One particular method includes the steps of grouping rows of a display to define the logical segments, writing data to at least one of the logical segments, writing a predefined value to each of the logical segments, regrouping the rows of the display to redefine the logical segments, and writing data to at least one of the redefined segments. Code contained in an electronically readable medium, for example a memory device, causes a display driver circuit to write data to a display in accordance with the described methods.

    摘要: TDMA communication system having forward channel communications and corresponding reverse channel communications between mobile users and a zone manager in an arbitrarily large broadcaster zone established by a broadcaster. The users are located within the broadcaster zone and the collectors are distributed in proximity to the broadcaster zone. The zone manager operates to control the selection of users to form user groups and for selecting collectors to form collector groups such that the difference between the propagation times from broadcaster to user to collector among users active with the same collector does not exceed a synchronization error such that user reverse channel signals at the collector are isolated from each other.
