    摘要: The process for manufacturing pneumatic tires comprises as essential step the manufacture of a tire body by winding cords or cables (3, 23, 35). The cord or cable is withdrawn from a supply reel (7) under constant tension and laid around and anchored to the bead cores (2; 22; 36; 39) arranged at both sides of the tire. In addition a peripherally extending belt is applied which again can be formed by winding cords or cables, and the tire is completed by injection molding or die casting elastomeric material. An apparatus suitable for performing said process comprises in addition to an interior mold (1, 21, 38) two sets of outer molds, the first set allowing the shaping of an inner tire layer provided with protrusions serving as spacers for the winding of cables or cords and the second set corresponding to the external shape of the tire (FIG. 2).

    摘要: A self-supporting motor-vehicle tire has an outer ring supporting the tread, an inner ring adapted to be fitted to a rim or to be placed upon a hub, and supporting elements uniting the said rings. The supporting elements are in the form of honeycomb-like cells running substantially parallel to the axis of the tire, the average wall thickness of the cells being less than approximately one-thirtieth of the width of the tire, while the average cross-sectional area of the interior of a cell, expressed in cm.sup.2, is less than about one-tenth of the corresponding tire width measured in centimeters.

    摘要: Object of the invention are new diisatoic acid and triisatoic acid derivatives of the general formula I ##STR1## wherein n represents 2 or 3, X stands for oxygen or sulfur and R for a group of the general formula IIY--Z--B].sub.m, (II)in which m stands for 1 or 2, Y for B when m is 1 and Y further represents a di- or trivalent alkyl group with 1 to 5 carbon atoms when m is 2, B represents alkylene with 1 to 4 carbon atoms and Z stands for phenylene-1,4-dioxy or diphenylene-4,4'-dioxy optionally singly or multiply substituted by Cl, NO.sub.2 or alkyl or for a 5- to 7-membered heterocyclic ring which is optionally substituted by one or more of said substituents and has one or more atoms selected from the group consisting of N, S and O as members of the ring, with a benzene nucleus optionally being annulated to said ring, and a process for the production of these compounds which is characterized in that a compound of the general formula IIIR--XH).sub.n (III)wherein R, X and n have the meaning defined above is reacted with at least two equivalents of isatoic acid anhydride, preferably in the presence of strong bases, as well as the use of these new compounds for the preparation of plastic materials.

    摘要: A mold cavity for producing a pneumatic vehicular tire is radially expandable to form successive coaxial annular layers, e.g. carcass, reinforcing belt and tread, of the tire body. The mold cavity is defined by a stationary core, several outer annular mold walls alternately juxtaposable with the core, and a pair of opposite cheeks axially bracketing the core and the juxtaposed segments. The segments of each mold wall are movably mounted on a respective carrier ring and are radially outwardly retractable thereon to clear the cheeks whereby they can be axially moved into and out of alignment with the core. With successive operative positioning of segment sets of progressively increasing inner radii around the core, the mold cavity is expanded after each molding step preparatorily to formation of the next layer after partial hardening of the elastomeric material of the layer previously formed therein.
