摘要： A digital broadcast transmitter includes a block processor encoding mobile service data at a coding rate of 1/H and first interleaving the encoded mobile service data, wherein H is an integer equal to or greater than 2, a deinterleaver deinterleaving the first-interleaved mobile service data to output a first data group, an interleaver second interleaving the first data group to output a second data group including the mobile service data, a trellis encoding module trellis encoding data of the second data group, and a multiplexer multiplexing the trellis-encoded data with segment synchronization data and field synchronization data, wherein the block processor is concatenated with the trellis encoding module.

摘要： A digital television transmitting system includes a frame encoder, a block processor, a group formatter, and a multiplexer. The frame encoder forms an enhanced data frame and encodes the data frame for error correction and for error detection. The block processor further encodes the encoded data frame at a rate of 1/2 or 1/4, and the group formatter divides the encoded data frame into a plurality of enhanced data blocks and maps the divided data blocks into a plurality of enhanced data groups, respectively. The multiplexer multiplexes the enhanced data groups with main data.

摘要： A data transmission system for minimizing the number of errors during Tx/Rx times of mobile service data under mobile environments, and a data processing method for the same are disclosed. 摘要： A digital television receiving system includes a first known data detector, a second known data detector, and a selector. The first known data detector detects a location of a first known data sequence in a broadcast signal by calculating a first correlation value between the broadcast signal and a first reference known data sequence. Similarly, the second known data detector detects a location of a second known data sequence in the broadcast signal by calculating a second correlation value between the broadcast signal and a second reference known data sequence. The selector selects the location information detected by one of the first and second known data detectors with a greater correlation value.

摘要： An apparatus and method for processing digital broadcast signal are provided. The method for processing a broadcast signal includes forming a data group having mobile broadcast service data, where forming the data group includes mapping the mobile broadcast service data into corresponding locations of the data group, adding known data sequences and signaling data into the data group, inserting place holder bytes for MPEG header and non-systematic Reed-Solomon (RS) parity, and de-interleaving data of the data group having the mobile broadcast service data, known data sequences, signaling data and place holder bytes, and formatting mobile broadcast service data packets including the de-interleaved data of the data group, where formatting the mobile broadcast service data packets includes removing place holder bytes for the non-systematic RS parity, and replacing place holder bytes for the MPEG header with the MPEG header.

摘要： A digital television transmitting system includes a pre-processor, a packet generator, an RS encoder, and a trellis encoder. The pre-processor pre-processes enhanced data by coding the enhanced data for first forward error correction (FEC) and expanding the FEC-coded enhanced data. The packet generator generates first and second enhanced data packets including the pre-processed enhanced data and main data packets and multiplexes the enhanced and main data packets. The first enhanced data packet includes an adaptation field including the pre-processed enhanced data and second enhanced data packet includes a payload region including the pre-processed enhanced data. The RS encoder performs RS encoding on the multiplexed data packets for second forward error correction (FEC), and the trellis encoder performs trellis encoding on the RS-coded data packets.
