摘要: An electronic apparatus comprises a main circuit having a main CPU and a power supply system which includes plural main batteries for supplying operating power to said main circuit, a back-up battery, a switching circuit connected between each main battery and the main circuit, power means for enabling the operation of the main circuit, a charge detector for detecting the charging level of each main battery, and power controller responsive to the power means and the charge detector and having a sub-CPU for individually controlling the switching circuit according to either a single connection mode or a multiple connection mode. In the single connection mode only one of the main batteries is connected to said main circuit. In the multiple connection mode, at least two main batteries, each in series with a respective diode means, are connected in parallel to the main circuit. The back-up battery is connected to supply power to the power controller only when either no main battery is installed or the charging level of each of the installed main batteries is below a predetermined value required for back-up operation.

摘要: A polishing amount control system and method for same which can quickly feed back the results of measurement of a coating layer of a workpiece to the next polishing work so as to improve the productivity of the workpieces and further enable high precision polishing work. The thicknesses of the plating layers of the two surfaces of a magnetic disk W polished by a double-side polishing apparatus 1 are measured by an X-ray thickness meter 2. The rotational speeds of the drive motors 15 and 18 of the double-side polishing apparatus 1 are controlled in accordance with the results of the measurement. Specifically, the polishing amounts of the plating layers of the upper surface and lower surface of the magnetic disk W polished next become within 1.8 .mu.m to 2.2 .mu.m by controlling the rotational speeds of the upper platen 13 and the lower platen 11. The thickness difference of the upper and lower surfaces of the same magnetic disk W become within -0.15 .mu.m to +0.15 .mu.m by controlling the rotational speed of one of the upper platen 13 and lower platen 11.

摘要: A first reception section is operable to receive an input to designate thumbnails of printing images from an image storage server. A first transmitter is operable to transmit an image transmission request for requesting the thumbnails to the image storage server when the input to designate the thumbnails is received by the first reception section. A first receiver is operable to receive the thumbnails from the image storage server. A second reception section is operable to receive a designation of the printing images based on the thumbnails received by the first receiver. A local area transceiver is operable to transmit an identification information request for requesting identification information of a printing device to the printing device using a local area radio communication and receives the identification information from the printing device. A second transmitter is operable to transmit the image transmission request for requesting the printing images when an input to designate the printing images corresponding to the thumbnails is received by the second reception section. A third transmitter is operable to transmit the identification information received from the local area transceiver to the image storage server. A second receiver is operable to receive the printing images from the image storage server. The local area transceiver transmits the printing images received from the image storage server by the second receiver to the printing device.

摘要: Prior to delivery of content data, SIP servers 104 and 106 mediate establishment of sessions between a posting server 102 and printing terminals 108P and 110P via a network 14 according to a signaling protocol SIP. On establishment of the sessions, the posting server 102 delivers the content data to the printing terminals 108P and 110P according to a data transfer protocol HTTP. This arrangement enables low-cost and high-quality delivery of print contents.
