    摘要: A high definition camera for photographing still pictures using a high resolution charge-coupled solid-state imaging device. The charge-coupled solid-state imaging device includes a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements arranged in rows and columns in matrix form, each element corresponding to a pixel and the rows being divided into four fields, a plurality of vertical charge transfer paths formed between each column of the photoelectric conversion elements and a horizontal charge transfer path connected to a terminal portion of each of the vertical charge transfer paths. Pixel signals generated at photoelectric conversion elements corresponding to one of four fields are transferred to transfer elements in a field shift period corresponding to the one field. Thereafter, the pixel signals are transferred toward the horizontal charge transfer path in accordance with drive signals and are then horizontally transferred by the horizontal charge transfer path at every row to read and store the pixel signals for the one field in a memory.

    摘要: An electronic still camera uses a charge coupled solid-state image pickup device and reads out pixel signals from photoelectric conversion elements by separating the photoelectric conversion elements into a number of fields. In a first embodiment, the elements are separated into k number of fields and an empty reading operation of the vertical and horizontal charge transfer paths are implemented without field shifting pixel signals from the elements to the transfer paths to thereby preserve the pixel signals in the elements. Accordingly, smear contents are removed and the influence of dark current is made uniform to prevent the occurrence of flicker. In a second embodiment, an empty reading operation of the vertical and horizontal charge transfer paths is implemented just after exposure. After the empty reading operation, normal field scanning and reading operation is restarted from the pixel signals corresponding to the field where the field shifting operation is stopped. Accordingly, smear contents are removed and dark current is made uniform.

    摘要: A high definition camera for photographing still pictures using a high resolution charge coupled solid-state imaging device. The imaging device includes a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements arranged in rows and columns, wherein each column is divided into repeating sequences of four photoelectric elements, each element corresponding to a pixel and one of four fields. A plurality of vertical charge transfer paths are formed between each column of the photoelectric elements and a horizontal charge transfer path is connected to a terminal portion of each of the vertical charge transfer paths. The horizontal charge transfer path includes first and second horizontal registers. Pixel signals generated at photoelectric elements corresponding to one of four fields are transferred to transfer elements in a field shift period corresponding to the one field. Thereafter, the signals are transferred toward to the horizontal charge transfer path in accordance with drive signals and are then horizontally transferred by the horizontal charge transfer path at every row to read and store the signals for the one field. The signals of the four fields are stored in respective memory areas of a memory. In an embodiment, signals are read by every frame and the signals of two fields, corresponding to one of the first and second horizontal registers, are supplied to an electronic viewfinder for display. A still image of the displayed image is recorded in accordance with signals of four fields upon actuation of a shutter. In an additional embodiment, both of the horizontal registers are operable to output signals during a high resolution mode and only one of the horizontal registers are operable to output signals during a low resolution mode.

    摘要: An electronic shutter controlling method is provided for an electronic still video camera having a solid state imaging device, wherein a first field shift pulse is generated for discharging unnecessary charges from the solid state imaging device and for starting signal charge storage in accordance wth a determined exposure time, but is latched at intervals of the horizontal synchronizing signal, and the discharge of the unnecessary charges is started when the first shift pulse is latched. The timing of the start of the signal charge storage is therefore displaced by a half of the horizontal synchronizing signal period in the even field relative to the odd field, thereby making the charge storage time always N times as long as a horizontal synchronizing signal period.

    摘要: The motion picture image print apparatus extracts a plurality of frames from recorded motion picture data for printing, the apparatus enabling the range of loaded images to be determined from images reproduced on a screen, not from the results of measurement of time, thus allowing a desired print to be more easily obtained. An operator reads motion picture image data recorded on a recording medium. The operator then sets a layout of a print output and the number of image frames in the print output to display a list of motion picture image files on a list screen, thereby selecting motion picture image file to be printed. The operator then depresses a motion picture control button to reproduce the selected motion picture image file in the check area. While viewing the reproduced images, the operator sets at least either a print starting image or a print ending image by depressing a “From” button or a “To” button, respectively. Thus, images corresponding to a predetermined number of frames are extracted from the set range of images at equal intervals. The extracted images are edited so as to be arranged in the set layout and are then printed.
