    摘要: In active driving of liquid crystal panels (R, G, and B) corresponding to R, G, and B color by X shift registers (R, G, and B) and Y shift registers (R, G, and B), alternating-current driving is performed such that signals to be written to the R color and B color liquid crystal panels are opposite in polarity to a signal to be written to the G color liquid crystal panel and also Vcom voltage of each of the liquid crystal panels is adjusted to thereby reduce flicker. The Vcom voltage supplied to the B color liquid crystal panel, for example, is finely adjusted to reduce flicker of a synthetic image of the liquid crystal panels.

    摘要: An electric controller starts post-collision control when an acceleration of the vehicle detected by means of sensors mounted on the vehicle is greater than an acceleration threshold (i.e., after occurrence of a collision of a vehicle). In the post-collision control, the electric controller fixes the throttle valve opening to a predetermined value, and shifts the transmission from the present gear position to an adjacent lower-side gear position. Moreover, the electric controller controls the hydraulic pressure of the brake such that the vehicle deceleration in the front-rear direction detected by means of the sensors becomes a target deceleration.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing a multiturn coil and a thin film magnetic head including a multiturn coil.This multiturn coil manufacturing method includes the following steps. First a laminate made up of conducting layers and insulating layers for coil is formed on a base member on a substrate and having a given inclination. Then this laminate is formed into a loop shape with a space or discontinuity thereon. In the next step, the upper part of the laminate on opposite sides of the space is removed to form a flat surface parallel to the substrate in which the ends of all the conducting layers are exposed. Finally, film conductive strips are connected between these exposed portions across the discontinuity to complete a multiturn coil.

    摘要: A thermal storage type gas treating apparatus has a high sealing performance while achieving a simple apparatus construction. The thermal storage type gas treating apparatus includes a valve member rotatable to place successively a supply port for a gas to be treated and an exhaust port for a treated gas formed in the valve member, in an opposed and communicating relationship with supply and exhaust ports formed in a distributor, thereby successively passing gas to be treated and treated gas through a plurality of thermal storage chambers communicating at one end with a combustion chamber. The valve member is supported to be displaceable toward and away from the distributor. A valve biasing device is provided for pressing the valve body to the distributor, while being inoperative with respect to a gas chamber device.

R light emitted by a light source is directed to a first liquid crystal plate via a first dichroic mirror. Light reflected from the first liquid crystal plate is reflected toward a projection axis by the first dichroic mirror. B light transmitted through the first dichroic mirror is reflected by a second dichroic mirror and impinges on a second liquid crystal plate. Light reflected by this second liquid crystal plate is again reflected toward the projection axis by the second dichroic mirror. G light is made to directly enter a third liquid crystal plate. G light reflected by the third liquid crystal plate travels along the projection axis. The angular positional relations among optical elements are so set that the angle of incidence to the normal to each dichroic mirror is close to the angle of reflection.

    摘要: A magnetic head for multi-track data recording on magnetic tape is formed of a combination of two head modules, each having a linear array of thin-film transducer elements formed on a substrate, each of these arrays consisting of a mixture of write elements and read elements. These are positioned on the respective head modules such that when the head modules are combined with the substrates mutually opposing, pairs of transducer elements are formed for respective tape tracks, each pair consisting of a read and a write element. "Read-after-write" recording confirmation can thereby be implemented together with bidirectional recording operation, by using only a combination of two head modules.

    摘要: A full automatic washing machine includes an outer tub, a rotatable tub rotatably mounted in the outer tub, an agitator rotatably mounted in the rotatable tub and an electric motor for driving the rotatable tub and the agitator. The volume of clothes accommodated in the rotatable tub is detected. A control circuit controls either a stored-water rinse mode in which the clothes are rinsed with water being stored in the rotatable tub or a rinse-with-dehydration mode in which the clothes are rinsed and dehydrated with the water supplied into the rotatable tub. The stored-water rinse mode is selected when the detected volume of clothes is large. The rinse-with-dehydration mode is selected when the detected volume is small.

    摘要: In a magnetoresistive head capable of performing favorable magnetic recording and reproduction, an overlap width of a front yoke and a magnetoresistive element is always wider than an overlap width of a back yoke and the magnetoresistive element. Generally, the magnetoresistive head varies in its reproduction efficiency by the overlap width of the yoke and magnetoresistive element. In particular, the reproduction output is significantly affected by the overlap width of the front yoke and magnetoresistive element, and when the overlap width of the front yoke becomes narrower than the overlap width of the back yoke, the reproduction output tends to decrease abruptly. Therefore, by keeping the overlap width of the front yoke always wider than the other, a stable reproduction output can be achieved. In particular, an outstanding effect is obtained in a multi-channel magnetoresistive head containing multiple magnetoresistive elements in one head.
