摘要: A method by which a sheet, formed with peak and valley folds which are parallel and alternate, can be rapidly and smoothly folded and shaped, and an apparatus therefor. The method includes supplying a sheet in a naturally relaxed state onto a support guide, and applying a light pressing pressure on the sheet in a direction by which the angles between the folds are increased by means of a pressing guide. The pressing guide moves toward a support surface of the support guide when a pair of bending tools begin to apply a bending pressure to the sheet to correctly and smoothly fold and shape the sheet along the respective folds.

摘要: This invention relates to a connected hollow structure and a packaging member suitable for use as a cushioning material, a protection frame material, a core material of a hollow panel and a carrier for carrying adsorbents. A connected hollow structure comprises a large number of hollow structures 10 having an arbitrary sectional shape and connected in parallel to each other. The connected hollow structure is formed from a piece of sheet and takes the shape resembling a unicursal figure in section. It is possible to form a connected hollow structure which shows elasticity and withstanding strength fit for the purpose and also has a smaller apparent specific gravity by properly selecting the quality of a sheet a, and the sectional shape and size of the hollow structures 10.

摘要: A cushioning material for packaging is formed of a foldable and regenerable sheet, such as a corrugated cardboard or thick paper, and is used to protect an article of a rectangular cross-sectional shape packaged in an outer case. First and third frame members (1a, 1c) for forming a pair of parallel edge members of a rectangular frame, and second and fourth frame members (1b, 1d) for forming the other pair of parallel edge members of the same frame are provided, and the frame members (1a-1d) are formed of hollow bodies having a plurality of hollow portions (10) arranged in parallel, the contour and sizes of cross sections intersecting the hollow portions (10) being substantially equal. The hollow bodies constituting the frame members (1a-1d) are formed in a row by folding corrugated cardboard, thick paper or other foldable sheet, adjacent frame members among frame members (1a-1d) being connected to outer side sheet portions (11) positioned on the outer side, when the frame members (1a-1d) are assembled into a rectangular frame, the end portions of adjacent frame members out of the frame members (1a-1d) having joint structures (16) for combining the frame members together at right angles to each other with the outer side sheet portions (11) left as they are. Therefore, this cushioning material for packaging is rarely deformed, and displays an excellent cushioning effect.

摘要: A cushioning material for packaging is provided, which is used when an article having a rectangular cross section or a cubic shape is packaged in an outer case, such as a corrugated cardboard box. The cushioning material is suitable for packaging the article therewith in an outer case while an end portion, which has a pair of corner sections, of the article is inserted into and supported by the cushioning. The cushioning material is provided with a grooved retainer (1) and a pair of end support members (2,2) disposed so as to close the ends of both end portions of the grooved retainer (1). The grooved retainer has a raised bottom (10) and two side walls (11,11) and is adapted to receive one inserted end portion of the article having a rectangular cross section or a cubic shape. The end support members each have a plurality of hollow portions (20), which are arranged in parallel in a predetermined direction, and a rectangular cross-section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the hollow portions (20). The grooved retainer (1) and end support members (2,2) are formed by folding a single sheet a of a predetermined planar shape along valley-forming folding lines (a1) and ridge-forming folding lines (a2) formed on the sheet. This enables to provide a cushioning material for packaging which has a simple structure and a low bulk specific gravity, and is not likely to deform.

摘要: A method of imparting directional permanency of folding to a sheet, and an apparatus therefor, which is suitable for manufacturing frame bodies, cushioning members and other block products for packaging, from a sheet of paper and other recyclable materials. The method includes a step of moving respective folding working tools, disposed on one or both surfaces of a sheet, required amounts so as to fold the sheet along respective folding ruled lines, and a step of shortening spacings between the respective folding working tools in a uniform ratio in accordance with an apparent amount of shortening in a longitudinal dimension caused by the shifting, while synchronizing with the moving step. Directional permanency of folding can be accurately imparted to the sheet along the folding ruled lines.

摘要: The present invention provides a high pressure discharge lamp with a start-up assist member, a lamp unit, and a lamp system that reduce breakdown voltage and provide high design flexibility by reducing restriction on a position of an adjacent conductor. In a high pressure discharge lamp (10) of a lamp unit (1), a dielectric member (20) is on the outer surface of a first sealing part (101a). The dielectric member (20) made of a titanium compound has relative permittivity higher than that of fused quartz. An upstream end of a metal wire (21) is connected to an external lead wire (102b) projecting from a second sealing part (101b). A downstream end (21A) is in contact with the dielectric member (20). Upon lighting of the lamp, a corona discharge occurs at the point where the end (21a) is in contact with the dielectric member (20) so that breakdown voltage is reduced.

摘要: There is provided a wireless communication apparatus for conducting communication between a high-order apparatus and a low-order apparatus, including a beacon reception unit and a beacon transmission unit. The beacon reception unit receives a first regular beacon signal (351) transmitted from the high-order apparatus. The beacon transmission unit transmits a second regular beacon signal (351) synchronizing a clock of the low-order apparatus to the low-order apparatus in a case where the beacon reception unit receives the first regular beacon signal (351). The beacon transmission unit transmits a temporary beacon signal (352) indicating that the clock of a local station is not able to be synchronized with a clock of the high-order apparatus, to the low-order apparatus, in a case where the beacon reception unit is not able to receive the first regular beacon signal (351).
