摘要: There is provided a light emitting module including: a printed circuit board; a plurality of light emitting diode chips disposed at a distance from one another on a conductive pattern formed on a top of the printed circuit board; and a connector formed on a bottom of the printed circuit board and electrically connected to the plurality of light emitting diode chips. The light emitting diode chips and the connector are optimally arranged to ensure that the light emitting module is suitably utilized as a high-density linear light source including a great number of light emitting diode chips and emits light outward with minimum loss.

摘要: A white light emitting device including: a blue light emitting diode chip having a dominant wavelength of 443 to 455 nm; a red phosphor disposed around the blue light emitting diode chip, the red phosphor excited by the blue light emitting diode chip to emit red light; and a green phosphor disposed around the blue light emitting diode chip, the green phosphor excited by the blue light emitting diode chip to emit green light, wherein the red light emitted from the red phosphor has a color coordinate falling within a space defined by four coordinate points (0.5448, 0.4544), (0.7079, 0.2920), (0.6427, 0.2905) and (0.4794, 0.4633) based on the CIE 1931 chromaticity diagram, and the green light emitted from the green phosphor has a color coordinate falling within a space defined by four coordinate points (0.1270, 0.8037), (0.4117, 0.5861), (0.4197, 0.5316) and (0.2555, 0.5030) based on the CIE 1931 color chromaticity diagram.

摘要: The LED package includes a substrate, one LED or more separated from each other by designated intervals and arranged in a line on the substrate, and a molding portion, for sealing the upper surface of the substrate including the LEDs, provided with an upper surface including two curved surfaces having circular circumferential shapes, wherein each of the curved surfaces has a curvature for totally reflecting light emitted from the LEDs. The LED package assures a sufficient optical traveling route therein without requiring a separate light guide plate, thereby emitting a white ray having uniform luminance.

摘要: An LCD backlight apparatus includes a light guide plate placed under an LCD panel of the LCD to guide light to the LCD panel. The light guide plate has an even upper surface and a scattering pattern formed in a bottom surface. A plurality of monochromatic light sources are placed in line at a side of the light guide plate to radiate light along the plane direction of the light guide plate between the upper and bottom surfaces of the light guide plate. The light sources are adapted to radiate light beams at a predetermined beam angle so that the light beams reach the scattering pattern only after having propagated a predetermined reference length necessary for forming white light when mixed together. The LCD backlight apparatus can reduce the Bezel width without increasing the thickness of the LCD.

摘要: A multi-lens LED has multiple lenses and an intermediate layer interposed between the multiple lenses in order to radiate light emitted from an LED chip in a desired direction and/or at a desired beam angle. The first lens is centered behind the LED chip when seen in the propagation direction of light. The second lens has a concave structure and surrounds the first lens. The intermediate layer is interposed between the first and second lenses, so that light emitted from the LED chip can be radiated at a wide beam angle. When provided in the form of a hemisphere, the multi-lens LED can be attached, e.g., to a wall or a ceiling for interior lighting. On the other hand, when provided in the form of a semicylinder, the multi-lens LEDs can be arranged in arrays to be used, e.g., as a light source of an LCD backlight apparatus.

摘要: The present invention relates to an LED lens, in which a planar bottom has a pair of halves symmetrically connected with each other about a reference line and narrowed in the vicinity of the reference line. A pair of substantially semicircular reflecting surfaces are extended from both edges of the bottom connected with both ends of the reference line. A radiating surface is connected with remaining edges of the bottom and semicircular edges of the reflecting surfaces. The reflecting surfaces reflect light beams are introduced from the LED chip through the bottom toward the radiating surface. The radiating surface radiates the light beams to the outside when the light beams are introduced to the radiating surface through reflection from the reflecting surfaces and directly through the bottom, so that the light beams are radiated to the outside in a predetermined beam angle.

摘要: There are provided a plane light source and an LCD backlight unit having the same. A plane light source including light emitting device matrixes each having a plurality of light emitting devices arranged in rows and columns on a substrate according to an aspect of the invention includes: a first matrix having a plurality of light emitting devices arranged in rows and columns; and a second matrix having a plurality of light emitting devices arranged in rows and columns, the light emitting devices each located within a rectangle formed by four adjacent light emitting devices included in the first matrix, and forming angles θ satisfying the condition of 45°≦θ≦55° therebetween on the basis of a horizontal direction, wherein among pitches between one light emitting devices included in the light emitting device matrixes and another lighting light emitting device adjacent to the light emitting device, a pitch P1 between the light emitting device and the light emitting device diagonally across from the light emitting device satisfies the condition of 25 mm≦P1≦29 mm, and a pitch P2 between the light emitting device and another light emitting device located in a horizontal direction satisfies the condition of 34 mm≦P2≦38 mm.
