    摘要: An ejector mechanism for use in a card connector comprises a guiding arm defining a channel and a reception cavity in communication with the channel. A push bar is slidably received in the channel and in an intermediate portion thereof defines a slot and a cutout narrower than and communicating with the slot thus forming a first digit confronting and spaced from a second digit by the cutout. A spring device includes a first section firmly enclosing the first digit and a second section loosely enclosing the second digit and the spring device is retained in the reception cavity of the guiding arm. A lever device has a driving end connected to one retaining end of the push bar thus when the push bar slides in the channel of the guiding bar the lever device is driven by the push bar to force the card connector to eject a memory card. The spring device is compressed upon a push on the push bar for ejecting the memory card and the spring device reverts to force the push bar back to its original position upon release of the push.

    摘要: An adapter for connecting a card connector to a mother board consists of a dielectric housing having a front face proximate the card connector and a bottom face proximate the mother board, and a metallic shielding covering a top face, a rear face and side walls of the housing. A number of contacts are fixedly received in the housing and extend from the front face to the bottom face. The contacts are electrically engaged with contacts of the card connector. A top portion of the shielding is engaged with a shielding of the card connector. The shielding of the adapter further forms a plurality of grounding tabs extending between tail portions of selected contacts of the adapter, thereby reducing cross-talk therebetween.

    摘要: An ejector mechanism for a card connector (1) is disclosed. The connector has an elongate housing (101) fixedly receiving a number of contacts (11). The housing has a bottom face for proximity to a PCB (3) on which the connector is mounted and a top face. The connector further includes a lower shielding (15) fixed to the bottom face, an upper shielding (13) fixed to the top face and a guiding frame (12) fixed to lateral ends of the housing for guiding a card into/out of the connector. The ejector mechanism has a push-rod reciprocally mounted on the guiding frame. The push-rod has a distal end (1211) with an L-shaped configuration defining a hole (1214) between a horizontal section (1213) and a vertical section (1212) thereof and a proximal end (1221) for receiving a push force. An ejector lever 1120 is pivotably mounted on the lower shielding member and has a force-receiving end (1121) bent away from the lower shielding member into the hole in the distal end of the push-rod. An ejector plate (1110) is reciprocally mounted on the ejector lever and drivably connected therewith whereby when the ejector lever is pivoted by pushing the proximal end of the push-rod toward the housing, the ejector plate moves away from the housing to eject a card inserted into the card connector.

    摘要: A board adapter for electrically transmitting signals between an electrical card connector and a mother board, includes a plurality of signal traces formed on both faces of the board adapter for electrically connecting signal holes with corresponding conductive pads. The signal holes respectively receive the corresponding contacts of the card connector. The conductive pads electrically engage with corresponding contacts disposed within a receiving slot defined in a card edge connector when the board adapter is inserted therein and stabilizing means ensures proper engagement therebetween. The stabilizing means comprises a cutout defined on a bottom edge of the board adapter and a post formed in the receiving slot of the card edge connector. The engagement between the cutout and the post ensures that the conductive pads of the board adapter are properly aligned with the contacts of the card edge connector.
