    摘要: An enclosure has an edge for defining a window opening. A keyboard is set in the window opening. A support member attached to the enclosure from the inside of the enclosure to receive the edge of the enclosure and the keyboard. A wall stands upright from the surface of the support member at a position outside the window opening. When coffee is spilled on the keyboard, the liquid flows into a space between the keyboard and the window opening. The surface tension of the liquid serves to prevent the liquid from immediately leaking outside the window opening through the gap between the edge and the support member. The liquid then starts leaking outside the window opening through the gap. The wall of the support member blocks the liquid. It thus takes a while before the liquid flows over the wall.

    摘要: In a continuous coating method, a coating material with insufficient fluidity can be uniformly coated on a substrate. A pick-up roller is disposed between a coating roller and a metering roller and a doctor bar is located above the pick-up roller. The coating roller is located near the substrate. The pick-up roller is rotated in a direction to pick-up the coating material through a gap between the pick-up roller and the metering roller. The metering roller is rotated in the same direction as the pick-up roller at a nip of these rollers, and the coating roller is rotated in a reverse direction with respect to the pick-up roller at a nip of these rollers. The substrate travels in a reverse direction with respect to the coating roller at a nip thereof. In the method, the pick-up roller picks up the coating material through the gap between the pick-up roller and the metering roller, and a meniscus of the coating material is formed between the pick-up roller and the metering roller while the pick-up roller and the metering roller are rotating. Thus, a uniform coating film is formed on the pick-up roller, which is transferred to the substrate through the coating roller.

    摘要: A thermal printing apparatus has a housing divided into two sections, a main shell and a cover which are joined at one end to each other for opening and closing, for ease of the mounting, dismounting, and positioning of a thermal head with a pair of connectors without the use of any conventional tool. A platen is pivotably mounted to the cover. The thermal head includes a head side connector and a heating element mounted on one side of a rectangular base thereof for printing on labels. A head frame is provided having positioning members for determining the position of the thermal head to the platen when the housing is closed and positioning projections for coming into direct contact with four sides of the base to hold the thermal head in its position, and mounted to a base frame in the main shell. A circuit side connector is movably mounted to the head frame for fine positional adjustment to the head side connector.

The binder is a polyurethane resin including a propanediol derivative expressed by the following general formula as an ingredient. The polyurethane resin has a urethane group concentration of 4,000 or more equivalents per 1 t of the resin, and a glass transition temperature of 100° C. or more, preferably, where either or both of R1 and R2 in the general formula is a saturated hydrocarbon group having a carbon number of 2 to 8 and the remnant is a saturated hydrocarbon.
