    摘要: In a disk device having a ramp-load mechanism, stable retry operation is performed even upon occurrence of seek errors. A disk device is provided with a ramp to which the head is retracted from the disk, at the time of seek error retry, prior to beginning seek retry, checks whether the head has climbed onto the ramp. And if the head has not climbed onto the ramp, normal seek retry is performed, but if the head has climbed onto the ramp, unloading is first performed before seek retry. Consequently crashes due to climbing onto the ramp due to a seek error in a ramp-load device can be prevented, and improvement of device reliability can be expected.

    摘要: A storage medium for a game relating to the present invention contains: (1) a game program for calling up drawing functions for prescribed scenes in accordance with the progress of the game; (2) animation data including sprite data forming two-dimensional still images, and motion data capable of generating animations by causing the sprites to change with each frame; and (3) a drawing program for generating rendering data (drawing commands) positions, colours, texture co-ordinates, and the like, for each sprite in a frame (display screen), according to the animation data specified by the drawing function. In general terms, animation data is data capable of generating moving images (animations) of characters as intended by a designer, and this animation data can be developed separately from the game program. Moreover, a drawing program is a generic drawing library capable of interpreting the animation data and generating rendering data, including position data for each sprite in a frame, for each respective frame. A game program simply calls up a drawing function (library function) which specifies animation data so as to be capable of causing the drawing library to interpret the specified animation data and generate rendering data accordingly.

    摘要: In a direct injection diesel engine in which fuel to be sprayed during a primary injection is split and sprayed at a plurality of timings at a point of time near top dead center of a compression stroke of a cylinder, a judger judges that a completion timing of the primary injection is later than a point of time corresponding to 35° after top dead center of a compression stroke when the primary injection is split while an engine is operated. Upon such a judgment, a split number of the primary injection and an injection intermission interval are reduced by a corrector to advance the injection completion timing. Further, an amount of fuel to be sprayed during the primary injection is reduced for correction, and a part of the fuel is preliminarily sprayed during the second half of the compression stroke of the cylinder by an auxiliary injection controller so as to respond to such a correction. Even in such an operating condition to require a larger amount of fuel to be sprayed, deterioration of fuel consumption and an increase of emissions can be prevented by hindering retardation of the injection completion timing later than the point of time corresponding to 35° after top dead center of the compression stroke.

    摘要: There is provided a method of controlling an internal combustion engine system. The method comprises supplying a first amount of electric energy to heat to an upstream sensor located in an exhaust gas passage from the internal combustion engine and upstream of an exhaust gas after-treatment device and adjusting an air-fuel mixture supplied to the internal combustion engine based on an output of the upstream sensor during a first engine operating condition, and supplying a second amount of electric energy, which is smaller than the first amount, to heat the upstream sensor and adjusting the air-fuel mixture based on an output of a downstream sensor located in the exhaust gas passage and downstream of the exhaust gas after-treatment device during a second engine operating condition. By adjusting the air fuel ratio based on an output of the downstream sensor in the second engine operating condition, the air-fuel mixture can be adjusted under less influence from the condensed water, because the downstream sensor is located downstream of the exhaust gas after-treatment device. Therefore, during the second engine operating condition, the air fuel ratio can be more precisely adjusted.
