Abstract: Provided is a conveyance device capable of preventing a remaining portion of a cut sheet from being caught in a conveyance path. A sheet supply device includes an urging mechanism capable of switching between a supply state of applying force in a direction away from a pressing position to an upstream part, in a conveyance direction, of a cut position of a sheet of a supply side roll, the cut position being cut by a cutter, and a stopped state of stopping the supply of the force, and a controller that switches the urging mechanism from the stopped state to the supply state in accordance with a timing when the sheet is cut by the cutter.

Abstract: In order to manufacture a wearable article of the first size, the introduction velocity is set to the first introduction velocity having a high velocity and the arrangement velocity is set to the first the arrangement velocity having a high velocity. In order to manufacture wearable article of the second size having a shorter length in the carrying direction than that of the first size, the introduction velocity is set to the second introduction velocity lower than the first introduction velocity and the arrangement velocity is set to the second arrangement velocity lower than the first the arrangement velocity and the drum velocity is set to a fixed velocity regardless of the size.

Abstract: The present cuff manufacturing method includes: a step of sandwiching at least two continuous elastic members F between a first sheet and a second sheet; a step of thermally-bonding together the first sheet and the second sheet intermittently in the longitudinal direction to form thermally-bonded portions, thereby fixing the continuous elastic members, thus forming a laminate; a slit step of slitting the laminate along the longitudinal direction, thereby obtaining a pair of cuff members; a step of conveying the pair of cuff members so that a pair of edges, which have been produced by the slitting in the pair of cuff members, are spaced apart from each other; and a step of arranging the pair of cuff members on opposite edge portions of a crotch portion of a worn article, thereby forming cuffs.

Abstract: A folding device for a disposable hygiene article includes: a first conveying portion along a first path; a second conveying portion along a second path extending in a direction intersecting with the first path; a folding mechanism to fold the disposable hygiene article between the first and second conveying portions; a driving mechanism connected to the folding component, to drive the folding component by performing reciprocating linear motion along the direction of the second path between a folding and retracted positions; and a guiding mechanism in an extension direction of the first path or by using the first path as a reference, a front end portion of the article to an opposite side of the second conveying portion. The driving mechanism includes at least one pulley directly connected to a servo motor and a synchronous belt wrapped around the outer circumference of the pulleys in a looping path.

Abstract: A continuous body folding device includes a conveying part having a moving surface that moves while suctioning and holding a first region of a continuous body, the conveying part conveying the continuous body in the longitudinal direction thereof; a first folding reference part in which a first endless belt, which moves in a first circulatory pathway along a first virtual plane including the moving surface, moves along a first reference segment adjacent to a virtual line of the continuous body in the same direction at the same speed as the moving surface; and first guiding members that are disposed along the first reference segment, contact a second region of the continuous body, and fold the continuous body along the virtual line and move the second region toward the first region so that the angle formed by the first and second regions becomes smaller as the continuous body is conveyed downstream.
