摘要: A tonneau system for a vehicle, the vehicle having a tonneau configured for cargo storage, the system including a lining configured to be connected to the tonneau, the lining including two side walls that extend generally parallel to a longitudinal axis of the vehicle when the lining is connected to the tonneau; and a front bar disposed at a front end of the tonneau when the lining is connected to the tonneau, the two side walls being connected by at least the front bar; and a ramp selectively connectable to the vehicle. The ramp includes two ramp panels, each ramp panel being selectively connected to the lining by at least one anchor when the lining is connected to the tonneau.

摘要: A vehicle has a frame including a front frame module defining at least in part a cockpit, and a rear frame module having a cargo bed support structure. The vehicle has a rear seat row or a cargo bed support structure extension disposed rearwardly of a front seat row. A wheelbase length measured between centers of front and rear wheels of the vehicle is approximately the same regardless of which of the rear seat row and the cargo bed support structure extension is disposed rearwardly of the front seat row. A longitudinal cargo pivot distance measured between the center of the front wheels and a cargo bed pivot axis is approximately the same regardless of which of the rear seat row and the cargo bed support structure extension is disposed rearwardly of the front seat row. A method of assembling a vehicle of a family of vehicles is also contemplated.

The track assembly has a frame, at least one leading idler wheel mounted to the front of the frame for rotation about a transverse leading idler wheel axis, at least one trailing idler wheel mounted to the rear of the frame for rotation about a traverse trailing idler wheel axis parallel to the leading idler wheel axis, a single drive wheel assembly, and at least two slide rails. The slide rails have corresponding forward-facing portions, central portions, and rearward-facing portions. The forward-facing portions project from the front ends of the central portions by a projection that is greater than a length of the central portions. A vehicle having the track assembly is also encompassed. A kit of track assemblies is also encompassed.

摘要: A method for accelerating a vehicle from rest, including controlling an engine according to a first control strategy; receiving a mode indication selecting a launch control mode for accelerating; controlling the engine according to a second control strategy; in response to greater than zero accelerator position, controlling to increase throttle valve opening and engine control operational conditions to limit engine torque output; while in the second control strategy, receiving an indication to end control by the second control strategy; and in response to indication, controlling according to the first control strategy causing the vehicle to accelerate from rest, the first acceleration rate greater than the second rate corresponding to accelerating from rest after sequentially controlling according to the first and second control strategies; the second acceleration rate corresponding to accelerating from rest by controlling according to the first control strategy without previously controlling according to the second control strategy.

摘要: A method for starting an internal combustion engine (ICE) having a crankshaft and an electric turning machine (ETM) operatively connected to the crankshaft is disclosed. The method includes: sensing a voltage of a capacitance connected to the ETM and configured to power the ETM; detecting a rotation of the crankshaft resulting from an actuation of a recoil starter; in response to detecting the rotation of the crankshaft, determining if an assisted start condition is met; in response to the assisted start condition being met, delivering power from the capacitance to the ETM and the ETM assisting the recoil starter; in response to the assisted start condition not being met, continuing to turn the crankshaft with the recoil starter without assistance from the ETM; determining if the ICE has started; and in response to the ICE being started, delivering power from the ETM to the capacitance.
