    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a patient anxiety management system for managing patient anxiety during a dental procedure. In one example, a patient anxiety management system is presented. The patient anxiety management system includes a control module that a patient can use to disactivate a medical device used by a dental professional by way of a trigger mechanism. Upon deactivating the medical device, a recording device, in communication with the control module, plays a recorded message to the patient during a programmable timeframe. Once the patient is calm, the system resets the medical device to an initial operation state by reconnecting but not reactivating the medical device so that the dental professional may resume the procedure when it is safe to proceed.

    Abstract: A root canal therapy device with a mechanical vibration mode and a rotation drive mode includes a head, a handle, a first flexible drive shaft and a second flexible drive shaft. The head includes an outer main part, a mandrel part for mounting a root canal file, a first drive input shaft part and a second drive input shaft part. The mandrel part is mounted in the outer main part. A first drive motor and a second drive motor are disposed on the handle. The invention has the following beneficial effects: the root canal file can rotate and vibrate during root canal preparation, so that the wall of a root canal is efficiently cut by the file; and the file can also vibrate, so that cutting resistance and cutting temperature are effectively reduced, a smear layer is avoided, and the quality and efficiency of root canal preparation are improved.

    Abstract: An ultrasonic root end retro-preparation endodontic apical surgical instrument. The instrument has a double-angled shape with a length of between about 1-2 in (2.5-5.1 mm), and is made of a metal which safely and effectively propagates ultrasonic energy from a base segment to a bent distal tip with a length of between about 0.08-0.15 in (0.20-0.38 mm). The instrument includes a swivel segment that permits rotation of the bent distal tip of up to 360°. By allowing the bent distal tip to be swiveled, the instrument may be used for all quadrants, anterior and posterior teeth without switching out the instrument for another one.
