Abstract: A laminate web having a polymer film layer and a nonwoven layer is disclosed. The polymer film layer makes up a first side of the laminate web and the nonwoven layer makes up a second side of the laminate web. The laminate web has a plurality of first elements extending from the polymer film. The web also has a plurality of second elements formed outwardly from the first side of the laminate web.

Abstract: An apertured nonwovens having a first nonwoven layer is described. The first nonwoven layer includes cellulose-based fibers and a plurality of apertures, wherein the plurality apertures have a minimum aperture distance between two adjacent apertures which has a relative standard deviation no greater than about 40%, as measured according to the Aperture Quality Test. The apertures have an aperture size no greater than about 2.2 mm2 and have an occlusion no greater than about 9%, as measured according to the Aperture Quality Test, or the apertures have an aspect ratio no greater than about 2.5 as measured according to the Aspect Ratio Test.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to methods for deforming a web comprising the steps of supplying a first layer of a web; weakening the first layer at a plurality of locations to create a plurality of weakened, melt-stabilized locations in the first layer; supplying a second layer of the web onto at least part of the first layer; and forming a plurality of first features in the first layer and a plurality of second features throughout the first and second layers of the web in the z-direction, wherein the plurality of first and second features are formed simultaneously.

Abstract: An absorbent article for wearing in an undergarment. The absorbent article can include a nonwoven. The nonwoven can have a nonwoven body facing surface. The nonwoven can have a main body portion and pair of spaced apart flaps associated with the main body portion. Part of the main body portion can have a hydrophilic zone that is more hydrophilic than a portion of the flaps. The absorbent article can have film having a film garment facing surface wherein at least part of the film garment facing surface faces the nonwoven body facing surface.

Abstract: An absorbent article for personal hygiene comprises a three-dimensional substrate, a tissue layer, an absorbent core and a backsheet. The absorbent core is located at least partially between the three-dimensional substrate and the backsheet. The tissue layer is located at least partially between the three-dimensional substrate and the absorbent core. The tissue layer comprises a wet-laid three-dimensional fibrous substrate comprising at least 80% pulp fibers by weight of the wet-laid three-dimensional fibrous substrate. The wet-laid three-dimensional fibrous substrate comprises a continuous network region and a plurality of discrete zones.
